I'd say not very. I'm sure the kid is very fast, but 4.3 is world class type speed. I recall reading that Hurd supposedly had 4.37 speed as a high school junior, but it sure looked like he was more a 4.57 guy.

Don't post in recruiting much but want to give my 2 cents on this kid. Lots to like and I really hope we get him. Top 3 things I saw:

1) Most obvious...huge improvement in speed from Soph to Junior Year. Wow!

2) One cut and Go / Reads blocking very well. Love how he takes most of those carries to the inside behind blocking. Doesn't try to bounce things outside. Gets north and south quickly.

3) Runs Hard. It's either that or HS kids just don't wrap up anymore. Either way arm tackles won't get it done with this kid....but damn that was piss poor tackling.

If I were to nitpick I'd say I didn't see much ability to juke or change direction. But honestly it didn't look like he needed to. I like his style.

Yep...I find it funny those treadmill videos of Hurd didn't translate on the field.

Does our taking 3 RBs hurt us with Teague? I know we really needed RBs but for the 18 season we will have

Kelly -SR
CFA - JR
Chandler - SO
Coleman - RSFR/SO
Jordan - RSFR/SO

Teague's got all kinds of offers and getting more. Does our depth chart hurt us a little? I hope not. Just thinking about it.

It's certainly an interesting thought. In terms of numbers, how many RB's do we really need in the '18 class? I'd think you usually take 2, but if Kelly stays after his Junior year, and none of CFA/the Freshmen RB's transfer, it's hard to see taking 2 and having 7 potentially on the roster for 2018.

Yeah. In the absence of Kelly going pro and transfers I would guess one RB would be all we take in the '18 class. I would love for Teague to be the guy! He fast.

So I will clear up a little about Teague. I have been watching this kid for the 5 years
(middle school and high school)His speed is what it is and he has run that 4.35- 4.38 40 multiple times. It wasn't a one time deal with a jump on the timer. I know his family and both Mom and Dad are Dr.s in psychology good people and very a grounded family. He has 18 offers with more coming. I do know that he is looking hard at program values. Great christian kid, great attitude and work ethic. If you land him he will be an absolute impact player without the headache.

I wish I was 17 again instead of 48...I would love to see him go to the Big Orange.I think his family wants him to be within that 6-7 hour envelope as well... looking like he is going to stay SEC My personal thought is he is hot on SC and UT from his current choices. I think it will have alot to do with the personal relationship the staff develops between now and signing day

If he's focused on relationships with coaches, I'd think Jones would win all day, every day over Muschamp.

Muschamp has made a trip to the Boro and his house for a visit...I don't believe Jones has yet...but early jump on the relationship side of things
