'18 TN RB Master Teague

all eyes will be on columbus, ohio today with tennessee’s top tailback target camping with the buckeyes. After doing some digging this week, we believe that tennessee has surged to the top of the list for master, with a potential offer from ohio state being the biggest possible bump in the road. Teague has a great amount of respect and fondness for the ohio state staff. Georgia remains in the mix, but some believe this has become a ut-osu battle.

An osu offer doesn't necessarily mean he is off to columbus, though, as one person close to teague told us this week, “if (osu) offers, its 50/50.”

I wouldn't go to OSU if I was Teague . They already have the #1 APB committed and like the #4 RB committed already .

He is, surely, smarter than giving the nod to Ohio St. They already have two backs committed for 2018, Jalen Gill and Brian Sneed. And both rate more highly, right now at least, than Teague. Besides, who wants to go to face a near guaranteed situation where somebody is going to have to transfer out later in order to get playing time. And, if Kelly has a good yr, he'll be gone after this coming yr. It makes a lot more sense for Teague to be a Vol.

I posted the above a while back.......still think the same today.

I still say distance will end up being a key factor, when he sits down with his parents to make the final decision. OSU offer or not, I think he puts on that orange power T.

Thing I don't understand is why go to a school where you have to camp just to see if they offer, when you can go to a school where you're the top priority at your respective position and maybe overall.

Which I think will happen IMO

Yeah, the Teague news was shocking today in a good way. I didn't think we had a good chance there. If 'Faith' is a big deal like I've seen him and his family mention in the past, it's hard to see him ending up at OSU. Meyer doesn't fit that at all. Plus on paper they are loaded at RB compared to Tennessee. He and Dixon would compliment one another extremely well. Really Grant would too.

The optimistic side of me hopes he just wants to earn those offers (OSU, Clemson, etc) and will still choose the home state school. I've not had a good feeling about this recruitment for awhile. However, he and his family have kept a very tight lip on everything so maybe it's just hearsay and whatnot that has me nervous and maybe we don't really know the truth of who leads and why.

All I really care about is that IF he does choose UT that he sticks with it, helps recruit others, and gives his all for Tennessee.

There are varying degrees to this, I mean he could go to UT Martin I would guess he would be their top priority too.

I'm with you Ron. Optimistically, he's just trying to get as many big time offers as he can, but he already has a plan for playing at UT. And how did we feel about Trey Smith? That was another recruitment that was kept close to the vest.

This recruitment reminds me a lot of Nigel Warrior. His family were very tight lip and a lot of us thought he'd go to Auburn cause of the instant CBs popping out of no where but he chose the Vols.

This could be similar to what Teague does.
