'18 TN RB Master Teague

I had the chance to talk to his cousin and former Vol Marsalous Teague yesterday for a while. UT has a battle on their hands. The kid is really looking for a place where it has produced NFL rbs and he will get to be productive based on a track record lasting longer than a small window. These kids want to win NC and many see no shot of that at UT, but he does like the VOLS just hard to over look schools like tOSU a daft pk producer, Auburn who has won a NC and produces pros, Ga a rb producing train prior to Kirby coming, etc. I will mention this as I told Master and Marsalous UGA will hv to get id of Chaney before their Rb recruiting/ production will improve. Chaney is a qbs dream OC, but a Rbs nightmare. Meanwhile NFL teams love it because as long as they see the potential the Rbs are not used up like at other places

6 draft picks in Butch's first class not enough? Wasn't that around 3rd or 4th in the country?

Which ever school the young man choses best of luck to him. I would hate losing any recruit Urbs but if that is where the he wanted to go it all along there is nothing our coaches can do about it.

This all day...yall chill.

Especially if we get Dixon.

AU and UGA are no closer than UT to winning any title lmao. Y'all need to tell these kids facts.
AU is in the west which means they are playing for 2nd in that division from the get go. Kids are funny.

Gonna be a lot of noon games against Purdue and Indiana in this kids future.

Don't worry, Meyer will fake another heart attack after getting his ass beat by another SEC Team in the playoffs and retire.

Did I say Rb only or draft pk producers? Stop being so sensitive and taking things so personal. He has multiple NFL guys out there playing on Sundays, and 3 1st rd picks and 7 over all this past draft. In 2016 he put out 12 overall and 5 1st rd picks I understand the 6 pks from this year for UT, and hope that continues. But ppl lets be rational tOSU is churning out guys yr in and yr out. They have been in the playoff, a NC in 14, and they also know of the HC and his success at UF, BG, etc. The kids today look at whats hot, who's winning and contending for NC, and if they hv a chance to win there. All the fandom is usually not the case for concern with them. UT has a good staff and all I hope all the changes makes things get to where they need to be, but in recruiting right now they're just not a tier 1 school for many guys. They're definitely closing the gap but they have to stop squandering the east title and win convincingly not with lucky hail marrys etc. The talent is definitely there and its not close in he East between UT and Fla its been coaching and kids see that. Ppl spk on Aub and UGA i agree but they've won and hv celebrity alumns like Cam and Gurley who kids know and love to watch. UT most reputable alumn to date is still Peyton whonis retired and 40 yrs old. Now do you all understand w/o bias?

That's what I don't get when I hear these 'mentors' subtly running Tennessee into the ground to other parents. They use willful ignorance to ignore actual facts. This was Butch Jones 1st class that he recruited and 6 players including a RB went to the NFL. Kamara was the 5th RB picked in the draft. There are no real arguments only perceived arguments from the past.

Bc they have celebrities? Hahahaha what has Todd Gurley done in the NFL that they love to watch so much? They should be looking up to Guys like Eric Berry not fukkin Cam Newton. But what do I know? Y'all gotta push what ya gotta push I guess. AU hasn't been winning either but hey they got 1 big celebrity lol. So damn stupid.

Gurley? You are citing him as the UGA representative? Arian Foster had way more success in the NFL than Gurley has had up to this point. And if you are just naming players in general, I guess you forgot about Eric Berry. It seems like you live in a world where it is cool to trash Tennessee. Unfortunately, you and Buck and others seem to have these kids and their parents ears. It's one thing not to push kids to any particular school. It's quite another when you ignore information and provide your own narrative of the program.

Meyer has been churning out a lot of picks, but at running back, not so much. Hopefully Teague takes notice of that.

It's hard for UT to get over the hump if these talented in-state kids don't begin to feel like they can get on board and help us get there.

So UGA is still great because they only lost by a Hail Mary, and we still didn't prove we're better than them because it took a Hail Mary to win?

Yes, Jones $&@! The bed vs. USC and Vandy this year, but how many times did Dabo do that his first four years?

Uh, Eric Berry?

We have beat them the last two years but they are still awesome and UT sucks? Auburn loses a ton of games every yr but they are still in a great spot. It's like they ignore the facts with every school but when it's UT who's doing the same thing they just trash it. Tennessee ppl love to trash Tennessee. So tired of it. It's clear these guys have an agenda though. 40yr old men steering teenagers where to go to school. Yeah I'm sure that's genuine

Exactly right! Something has been missing here for a long time. It baffles me why any kid in the state of TN. isn't drooling to come and play for the Vols. We've got to find a way to make them huge Vol fans at an early age. I love when a kid says he grew up loving the Vols and it's his dream to play for them. Whats really disheartening is to see kids in the shadow of Neyland not even be interested in coming.

I don't think that winning 11 games a year is the only way to accomplish that either. It certainly helps but it's a chicken or egg type thing.

There are plenty of Vols in the NFL and the recent draft shows that there are going to be plenty more in the future. However, everything we have heard about this young man and his family points to them caring more about how their son will be mentored than how many big names in the NFL a school can point to. People laugh at CBJs COL comment but that mentality is more important than people think. Plus now CBJ can say that UT prepares young men for life and puts them in the NFL. I hope MT comes to UT but, if he doesn't, it won't be because Urban, Kirby, or Gus are going to be better role models than CBJ. That list of goons are way down there when it comes to finding role models for young men.
