'18 TN RB Master Teague

C'mon man. You are biased against UT and it's obvious. UT just had a great draft and we've churned out some high profile stars even during our downtime (the afore mentioned Berry and Foster as examples). OSO has been better, no doubt, but not to the level you speak. And using GA and AU as examples is just bad form and foolish on your part.
Foster is a star who came from UT...but the fact that we couldn't get him drafted doesn't help us much IMO. Schools like Auburn who have somewhat recent early round RB pics like Tre Mason (even though he flamed out quick at the next level) look better in that respect IMO.

Its on the school to develop a kid and showcase him enough to get drafted. After that the ball's in his court.

Here is the other thing that really has me thinking. I saw earlier in this thread where they said he had to commit on the spot or they were moving on. It was like I was told by my parents, if someone pressures you into a major decision, then leave as quickly as possible. If they say it is on the table now but if you walk out without saying yes, then the opportunity is gone, by all means, WALK OUT. If that was accurate about him having to commit on the spot, that is even more disrespect for him to not be more valued to take a little time to be sure of his decision. Probably the most important one he has ever had to make that could affect his entire life. If what we have heard about this family is true, then no way he goes there. Auburn or Georgia maybe but not OSU. I say his choice is going to come from this top 3 and I hate to think this, but I think it is Auburn. However, that would be better than Georgia.

Honestly if it's AU or UGA we may have a chance to flip him later on depending how things shake out.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Chaney and/or Malzahn looking for new jobs in December/January.

If I was a recruit in that situation, I would commit to hold the spot and continue to look at my other options. Then, I would go where the heck is wanted when my evaluations were concluded. Two can play the game.

Foster was a projected 2nd round pick after his junior year. The mistake he made was staying his senior year with a new OC under Fulmer. So he was showcased for 3 years. Just an unfortunate and bad decision. The Foster example is valid.

You have one or two instate players each year that seem to not have any real interest in playing for the home state. Last year it was the dB from the boro, can't recall his name (see, he's already a distant memory). We'll survive this and get a just as talented running back. If he doesn't choose the Vols I doubt I'll be able to recall his name this time next year either.

Understood. Main point is you just don't take whatever the deal is. If you want to stick it to them by playing games then do so. In this case, I would think this family would not play any gotcha games but what the heck do we know? Most of us have never really met these people and only know what we know by what other people have said on a message board where we don't really even know who they actually are.

lol at our Hail Mary being lucky.

Actually, that Hail Mary pass can easily be used to show how horrible the coaching staff did at Georgia to defend that play. Your tallest defenders are in the endzone and behind our receivers...what good does that do you? Obviously, that is the wrong way to defend that play. Of course, de1 doesn't mention anything about that.

Just f.y.i
Foster was the 2nd highest rated Guard in the NFL last season according to PFF. Didn't turn out too bad.

Our play being executed is just as much as UGA's fault than it is ours. The UGA defenders were absolutely clueless and Smart is supposed to be a Defensive genius.

I wasn't really meaning to stick it to them, more just play the game they're playing. If he commits and over the next few months reaffirms in his mind it was the right choice, then all is good.

I'm not sure how that helps at all really

Did I say Rb only or draft pk producers? Stop being so sensitive and taking things so personal. He has multiple NFL guys out there playing on Sundays, and 3 1st rd picks and 7 over all this past draft. In 2016 he put out 12 overall and 5 1st rd picks I understand the 6 pks from this year for UT, and hope that continues. But ppl lets be rational tOSU is churning out guys yr in and yr out. They have been in the playoff, a NC in 14, and they also know of the HC and his success at UF, BG, etc. The kids today look at whats hot, who's winning and contending for NC, and if they hv a chance to win there. All the fandom is usually not the case for concern with them. UT has a good staff and all I hope all the changes makes things get to where they need to be, but in recruiting right now they're just not a tier 1 school for many guys. They're definitely closing the gap but they have to stop squandering the east title and win convincingly not with lucky hail marrys etc. The talent is definitely there and its not close in he East between UT and Fla its been coaching and kids see that. Ppl spk on Aub and UGA i agree but they've won and hv celebrity alumns like Cam and Gurley who kids know and love to watch. UT most reputable alumn to date is still Peyton whonis retired and 40 yrs old. Now do you all understand w/o bias?

The sensitive one is you. I asked who has Urban produced at RB and you act like I'm mad lol. Peyton is better than anyone Ohio State has ever had at any position so of course he will be the most reputable. Eric berry is still in the league and a pro bowler every year he plays.

Its not a bias thing, play boy. Urban got all these draft picks but put up a big ol goose egg in the playoffs by getting there with a slaw schedule yet you bring up our uga win ON THE ROAD and claim uga has a better case for big time players all in the same breath? You don't even have a single argument.

Gurley? lmao. Bless your heart.

I'm waiting for your next contradiction. The draft is no longer in your arsenal.

That hasn't stopped us from landing In State studs before?

True, but we have seen several elite TN recruits look outside the state to FSU, Clemson, USC, etc. They want to win now, not help rebuild, rebrand & hope for a SECCG. They want to compete at a playoff. Last year should have been the year for Butch to prove he was the guy to bring that to TN. Unfortunately, he didn't.

Prospects coming out of Murfreesboro (with a few exceptions) seem to be difficult to sway to UT.
