He said he has been in contact with Tennessee running backs coach Robert Gillespie. The Vols were among the teams that had talked with him earlier in the recruiting process, he said — before his “grades just really collapsed” during his junior year, causing many schools to stop recruiting him.

“(Gillespie) texted me a long time ago — my sophomore year,” Washington said. “Then, we were talking. But after my junior year it fell off.”

If he makes it through the official visit with Nebraska next weekend without committing ( heavily leaning that way now ) and actually visits Tennessee ,then we have a decent chance of landing him.

Kid killed last night in the UA game! And we need someone to do backflips!

He looked real nice. Decent size and fast. Looked to have good balance too bouncing off hits. Really liked when he scooped up the bad snap and got 11 yards on it.

Early playing time.

Plenty of schools can offer early playing time who aren’t under NCAA sanctions, including scholarship reductions and a bowl ban.

I would think OleMiss would be a bit toxic to top/highly rated players at the moment, and that they’d receive little consideration from a player like Washington who has multiple big time offers.

Ive thought the same thing, but theyve put together a respectable class and are in the running for some top talent still, like this kid and Harold Joiner.

A lot of people think Joiner, who;s been a long time LSU lean, will end up at Ole Miss.

Somehow Ole Miss is still pulling in some pretty good talent and have been predicted to get more, I would have thought they would have told the bag man to lay low so I'm confused on his they are doing it.
