His distant paternal cousin…with the same last name. She miscarried.
I saw that about the miscarriage and that he was writing her because they shared the last name, didn't see that they were cousins.....i guess pickings were slim back then.

He had lost most of his fortune so 90 year olds must’ve been hotter back in the day.

I like the show but the girls fake over exaggerated southern accent, like a dramatic Forrest Gump performing a Shakespearean soliloquy, is at times unbearable. Faith Hill is awfull, Tim Mcgraw has his times but hard to take seriously. Poor Sam Elliott didnt know the difference between poison oak and oak tree leaves when “teaching” the group, but he and the Indian warrior are carrying the show at the moment.

Taylor Sheridan has five new shows upcoming including a continuing Dutton Family saga, 1932. What’s got me excited is one on Bass Reeves, the real life Lone Ranger who was the first black US Marshall and more badass than the fictional version. The three others have stars Nicole Kidman, Sylvester Stallone and Billy Bob Thornton (my dude!) leading the vehicles.

The one with Stallone is called "Kansas City" and is about the mafia. Much like Ozark, very little of this will be filmed in Missouri.

I like this show, I really do, but the Elsa stuff is throwing me off from loving it.
Agreed - if they would focus more on it he wagon train’s challenges getting to Oregon and less on a teenagers love life it would be better IMO. Also, am I the only one who finds Elsa’s accent annoying? For some reason her family doesn’t have the same accent?

Yeah, for some reason Sheridan green lighted her having an over exaggerated southern accent. My wife loves the story and Elsa. We argue about it. Give me more killing and struggle. LOL.

Her fake accent and the fascination with female armpit hair are off-putting. I get it, its historically accurate, but I'm not sure Indian Braves sat around stargazing with White damsels in distress twirling her armpit hair on his fingers...I mean I guess maybe they did...Is that the "a" spot...an erogenous zone?

GOLDEN armpit hair…quite the coup!

I really like this show. I can look past some of the inaccuracies. It’s kind of cool to think that little kid is John Duttons grandfather.

Agree on the armpit hair though, I get that it is historically accurate, but you see Indian guy twirling her armpit hair with perfectly straight white teeth. Go all in or not with the history. The armpit hair is just gross if that is the only thing.

Watched the next to last episode tonight. When the Indians attacked I found myself hoping Faith Hill would be killed off but was disappointed. The series theme has become clear however; “Give me $200 per family to lead you to Oregon and I promise you I’ll get you killed trying “

Thought it was kind of silly and there at the end when they met up with the indians was pretty stupid. Felt rushed.

It brought that flashback in Yellowstone into context. I guess watching TV in general is stupid. Lol.

I have a bigger problem with all the indians speaking English. I wish today's youth were as fluent.
