'19 CA QB JT Daniels (Georgia commit)

In terms of immediate need? QB, ILB, and WR are easily the top 3.

I agree. However, QB may be the biggest for these reasons. ILB is covered if Crouch and Peterson come on and they and To’oto’o stay healthy. They have recruited well at LB and it may get even better. At WR we get Palmer back, with Brandon Johnson coming off RS and hopefully someone else out of the rest of the group emerges; Tillman one of the transfers or one of the recruits. We have a lot of WR’s on the roster, and there may be some talent there that just couldn’t get on the field last year because we had studs at all 3 positions.

At QB we got JG and BM. JG is JG and BM while giving us a spark at times is a turnover machine when he’s healthy. Bailey could come on, but I hate to count on a true Freshman to lead the team.

Not to say JT was the answer but if he gets eligibility for 2020 season, then he would have given us a real option to consequentially improve at the most important position on the field. If he can’t get eligible for 2020 this is much less of a loss.

you asked about the resume.
If you understand what a resume is you should know I answered your
question.

So yea TM had done way more things as a coach than Brady before LSU. Just as I said
Asked specific questions about his resume. Maybe you can have someone go back and read it for you.

Lol as I answered

brady wasn’t an OC in college, wasn’t a HC in college and wasn’t an OC in the NFL while TM was

Thus TM’s resume was more extensive.

No idea why you continue to argue against those facts

JT's stats don't scare anyone..........
We would have taken him in a heartbeat! So much for the "Tee Martin recruited him" angle. If you have forgotten, Daniels blew out a ACL in 1st game of the year thus opening an opportunity for the 3 star kid. Daniels is a 5 star talent that would have succeeded here. In addition there was tremendous criticism of Tee Martin's 2018 USC's offense and many blame his scheme on Daniels poor freshman year. Maybe Daniels didn't want to come here "because of Tee Martin?" Who the heck knows?

I think this has more to do with the fact he probably won’t be immediately eligible as well as the fact our class is filling up fast and we can’t risk an extra spot. Also, with Salter committing and Simpson probably going to commit there really isn’t a need for Daniels especially since he has already had an ACL injury.

Yep, then we let Georgia hire him away from us. Don’t know the backstory on this but whoever let this happen put our program back a good ways.
There was no “let” involved. Donnan went all out and allowed him on their coaching staff as DL coach. Fulmer wasn’t going to cut a HOF DL coach loose to match pace. Donnan poached another high end recruiter the next season and made him their DC...not as good results. Garner is an epic recruiter, but we can’t make UT his alma mater...which is where he’s cemented. Talent wasn’t an issue towards the end of the Fulmer era. Degradation of discipline and fundamentals led to the spiral. It’s why Cutcliffe (a notable non-recruiter) returning was a brief uptick before he departed again.

Why let “knowing” ruin some good, old fashioned whining? 😏

Really don’t think “need” was a factor. Daniels made the choice. We tend to forget that part. 😉

So if they don’t win a championship right out the block, you’ll update your rankings?

But if he doesn’t gain eligibility, he would have been a complete non-factor. Tricky arguing in an unknown vacuum.

Kirby REFUSES to let an African-American QB start for his team. Just won't let it happen. The pattern is emerging.

Rusty - any word on if Newman is being asked to play WR now? @secking

Daniels prob won’t even be eligible this year. Might be, but doubtful due to NCAA postponing vote on one time transfer rule

I'm interested to see when attrition starts after players get back into football. Georgia now has 90 scholarship players on their roster so they will have to shed 5 guys between now and August.
