There is a link between the two schools. Don't forget the name of the stadium where the Gophers play. The one Natty championship team they've had in football was coached by head coach, Vol legend, VFL, Murry Warmath!

He was their last coach to win a national Championship.

Benhart declined interviews today. His family keeps things very close to the vest. Need to dig more here. Obviously there's real interest since Bryce visited twice in less than a month. Can Tennessee hold onto momentum with Wisconsin, Minnesota and other OVs still out there though?

6-9 frame that can easily play at 330 lbs after weight training/diet. Also a HS wrestler. Wisconsin has 2 OT commitments already and I like our chances.

four-star offensive tackle bryce benhart of lakeville (minn.) north high school was a late addition to tennessee’s list of official visitors last week, and while he rarely does interviews and has remained silent since his trip to knoxville, the vols just might have a shot at the top247 prospect. The 247sports crystal ball points to minnesota and wisconsin as the favorites to land the 6-foot-7, 285-pound benhart, but he now has visited tennessee two of the past three weekends, and he clearly has legitimate interest in the vols. Tennessee running backs coach chris weinke, a native of st. Paul, minn., gives the vols’ staff a rare connection to minnesota that could help their cause. And, by all indications, benhart and his family like what they have seen so far at tennessee.

Wow that would certainly soften the morris blow. Didn't know he was just here. Anyone get the feeling him being a late add was in response to the morris auburn visit? So we could bump this kid up ahead of morris and show him more attention than morris? Based on us making zero headway with morris it's seems like a possibility we said f you to morris and hello to benhart

Yes that sounds plausible and that is how we should be recruiting. Don't want to be here? Cool, look out that window we have plenty that do.

He has nothing to do with Morris. We have been after him ever since Weinke got here. His frame and athleticism may give him a bigger upside at tackle than Morris.
