You are exactly correct. There is no real good alternative which is why I said this is a tough line to toe.
I have the feeling we may be treating all three of the Murfreesboro kids the same because it's hard to ask one to camp or the others not to. JMO
If they're extending offers to other kids without requiring them to camp, then it would stand to reason they would do the same for any of these 3 kids if they rated them high enough. Apparently they have some concerns, questions or reservations on the entire group.
Correct.
Everything I've read from the LSU side lines up with what Montrell said. At the moment, they are not expecting him to contribute. It is definitely surprising.
To me, it's a weak mindset of the Murfreesboro community and coaches to hold it against the Univ. of Tennessee to want the best players, and to want those best players to demonstrate their ability on campus at a camp against better competition than what Tennessee HS football has to offer. If kids are scared to compete for an offer at camp, what are they gonna do on the field vs Bama, UGA, or FL when it counts?
If that type of winner mentality and expectation of excellence from our staff burns bridges, then the Boro coaches can stay on their side and send their kids out west to Arkansas or Ole Mess. Coddling time is over with. Sack up and show out if you really want the offer. If not, we'll find someone else who isn't scared to compete.
I understand it. Kids want to feel believed in. This kid has plenty of other schools telling him he is good enough for them without camping.
Why camp when they can see you in pads during the Spring? And why would a kid camp with a legit Ohio State Offer at DB? Some guys yes they should camp but to the guys you say are a priority why should they have to compete for an offer when their Hudl backs them up? He wants Woodi to be more physical tackling right? How can he show that at a camp?

Why is it that big of a deal? If he wants the offer, go camp. If he doesnt want the offer, dont camp. It may not seem that simple to you but it really is that simple.
I meant that Woodi apparently is mad about having to camp
Yeah this whole thing is ridiculous.
Why should they camp? Well, if theyre considering attending Tennessee, then they should because the head coach at this program wants them to.
Hell by breakerboys logic - why attend any of these recruiting service camps when the hudle film backs them up? They do it all the time.
I know its 2018 and everyone gets a trophy and everyone is entitled to whatever they want, but welcome to real life. Why take SATs when report cards back them up? Why go to job interviews when resumes and references back you up. If you want something, sometimes you have to do more to earn it. If you dont, then dont. Good luck at another program.
Out of state kids, sure camp them. A kid in-state that you can go watch in pads at Spring Practice with ease. Nah especially if you like his Hudl film...
