'19 TN CB Woodi Washington

Still don't think his offer is contingent on camping. I think staff just wants as many top players at camp to get a real idea of each player. it may be more about evaluating another kid by seeing how he does vs Washington

also a possibility. i just don't see the down side to camping with any school, unless you already know you suck.:eek:lol:

Me either. More negative by not going when asked than going and struggling. They want to coach and be hands on. Cant do that in the stands watching a practice. If you don't go and it's not a legit travel reason it just comes off as " what is he afraid of?" Or does he think he knows everything already and not always looking to improve?"

yeah, and if it's a pride thing, then that's a red flag too.

just don't think it's a big deal. if you don't camp, i think that tells the coaches what they need to know.

Yep so many motives could be at play. It could even just be they want him up to campus as many times as possible and this is another event to push him to attend and stay in front of him

I really think we are treating him the same as the other 2 because we feel like we have to

Y'all taking bait like crazy up in here.

Out of state kids, sure camp them. A kid in-state that you can go watch in pads at Spring Practice with ease. Nah especially if you like his Hudl film...

My guess is that they want to see how they stack up against kids from other parts of the country instead of that lower grade Tennessee HS football you have pointed out yourself? :dunno:

What are they really going to see in a spring practice? Woodi dominating everyone on the field like he should. It is likely that Pruitt questions the competition he plays against and wants to see him up against better quality players at camp. And this isn't exclusive to Woodi.

I haven't followed his play at all yet, but I have noticed a lot of their fans on the LSU premium boards seem to already be chalking him up as a bust. Surprised me.

Didn't surprise me. I remember telling everyone on here when he chose LSU to not worry cause he was gonna be a bust.

It took just one high school game that was aired on ESPNU in 2016 for me to know he would be a bust.

My eye test is flawless.

Correct.

Everything I've read from the LSU side lines up with what Montrell said. At the moment, they are not expecting him to contribute. It is definitely surprising.

Nope. Not at all. His tape was awful. He looked slow and unathletic.

I said in 2017 that the only instate miss we had was Tee Higgins. I said he would be a 1st round pick in the NFL draft and the next AJ Green. And thus far he looks to be that. He was incredible at the Clemson spring game and looks like he'll be their #1 receiver this fall.

Remember I also wasn't that high on Maleik Gray even though we signed. And thus far he's made no impact either.

Why camp when they can see you in pads during the Spring? And why would a kid camp with a legit Ohio State Offer at DB? Some guys yes they should camp but to the guys you say are a priority why should they have to compete for an offer when their Hudl backs them up? He wants Woodi to be more physical tackling right? How can he show that at a camp?

Why refuse to camp? It just leads people to think he is either not as good as advertised or doesn't want to work for something.

Maleik Gray was a freshman last year, and the free safety and strong safeties in front of him were 2 seniors, a junior and a sophomore (by the name of Nigel Warrior). You never cease to amaze.

So now everybody is saying they told you so about Jacoby Stevens? Glad we have so many legit talent evaluators here.
