'19 TN CB Woodi Washington

You're damn right.

I just don't get how this staff can pass on a future NFL shut down corner like Woodi Washington but are chomping at the bits for a marginal NFL backup like Quavaris Crouch?

Pruitt might prove to be a great coach but his player evaluation skills are heavily lacking. He's passing on so many talented players for guys with significantly less talent.

Later Gator.

You’ve vigorously cited Dobbs deficiencies after sessions with him. That’s what’s being referenced. Kamara had an awesome rookie season and we have to cite how him doing the same every year for 10 years DOESN’T get him into the HOF. Cam Sutton is the next great DB. You signing off on that, KB? You didn’t get an extra charge out of Derek Barnett’s SB clinching sack? Knowing it bit your buddy where it comes out? Live a little.

Do you ever get tired of embarrassing yourself on here?

Attacking his character over this is a little much. Sounds like he's camping at other schools so my guess is he's just not that interested in Tennessee and Pruitt isn't gonna beg just because he's in state. I get that making up something negative about him makes it easier to explain why we didn't want him anyway but it's not really necessary.

all things being equal, usually the simplest explanation is the most likely one.

Woodi doesn’t want to get exposed against non TN competition

How so? Didn’t he just dominate the Rivals 3 Stripe and made noise last year at the event in St.Louis. Isn’t he going to National “The Opening” and 5 Star Challenge camps? There will be better players there than at Tennessee. Just stop with this garbage you’re spewing. Kid doesn’t want to get exposed but is attending both with all elite prospects.

So then the bottom line is that he doesn't want the Tennessee offer bad enough to camp in Knoxville. If that's the case, then there is really only one right answer.

If he’s not going to compete for an offer, then he sure as hell ain’t going to compete for a starting spot.

He's got other big offers. So I guess the only right answer is he doesn't want to go to Tennessee. Get over it. We're in on others that are just as good and have more interest. If he wasn't in state most would not feel the need to attack a kids character over not wanting to go here. For whatever reason instate kids get the most extreme praise and criticism on here. Its unnecessary.

Agreed. He should camp at and attend a school he does want to be at.

State allegiances are kinda overblown, especially in a state like Tennessee where the three regions have more in common with the adjoining states than they do with each other. If it is a recruiting advantage, use it, but since UT will live and die by how well we recruit Georgia, it's kinda silly to get hung up on in-state kids who want to go elsewhere. When UT is back to consistent top-10 performance, more middle and west Tennessee kids will be interested.

Ultimately Woodi isn’t as high on us and we’re not as high on him (until they see him first hand at least). If it works out, great. If not, we’re in on about 4 other highly rated DB’s.
