It isnt policy for Bama and now it seems here that DBs camp. I can get into why but it has a lot more to do with projections and flexibility, growth expectations, bend, IQ, balance... and competing. Not BB, but what I'm getting from it is that he may feel like very confident in his abilities, and may feel slighted that players that he's on par with have not been asked to camp, but yet he has for his own home state university. Kid probably feels like if others can recognize and respect his abilities, then that's who he'll recognize and respect, and if my evaluation is true (I haven't talked with him personally) I honestly can't say that I blame him

I dont even ask him about camping at any school nor will I. But most kids have this mindset. If you make everyone camp for their offers it would be cool. To ask one to do it and not all to do it would bother me as a player as well. Especially if Ive been to the big camps and know Im better/outperforming other guys with legit offers Id feel disrespected. This has nothing to do with competitiveness at all. Why would you as a prospect NOT A FAN want to prove anything to ANY(not just Tennessee) staff that doesnt truly believe in you when other elite schools do?
Woodi takes plays off and CJP wants to see his measurables and if he's got some dog in him. To CJP, it's an investment. He wants a good return on his investment. So by camping, he's ensuring that the offer is to his liking. If he doesn't camp, CJP got his answer.
You sound like a fan and not in the position of the kid.
I cant see a side here where the kid is correct in his actions. Hes refusing to camp after being asked, but is camping elsewhere. Pruitt will most likely move on and recruit someone that wants to be at UT. His actions tell me that hes either not interested in UT, or that when he faces adversity he runs the opposite direction. Either way, its a huge red flag concerning his character.
Except he's camping at other schools so that tells me he's just not interested in Tennessee.
I think CJP and CTF feel they are in on some really good CB's and are doing their do diligence. Camp or not to camp. That is the question. The easiest thing would be to camp. Do what the coach is asking and show who's the best. If it was a QB, I don't think we would be going through this.
Reads that way but also could be a situation where it's summer time and he is using this time to go places he can't go during school yr. he can make the drive to Knox easily during the yr.
Hard to get a read here. Lots of assumptions and hard not to assume things but never know without kid himself explaining summer visit schedule not including TN. He wasn't asked that question or it wasn't included in Rivals article for some reason if he did
BB is never going to acknowledge that about his boy though...he's feeding that entitled ego. I don't blame him though, that's his tit.
