Jay Bilas is a solid analyst. I've always felt that, much like Herbstreit in football, he is able to put his personal feelings aside and actually analyze the game. During the halftime of this game, Bilas noted that this game could actually be worse because a couple of the charge calls against Carolina should have been called blocks. He is correct. Singler took a charge in the first half that was absolutely laughable.

A major choke job? Duke is unbelievable in Cameron for a reason. Carolina played them much closer than they should have.

They were up by 16 at one point. Yes obviously Duke is tough at home, but Carolina choked that game away.

Your comment just shows that you know nothing about this rivalry and nothing about these two specific teams.

I've watched this rivalry for years, but you should still put a team away when u have a 16 point lead in the 2nd half.

:eek:lol: I guess you're an expert on this rivalry then, having witnessed at least 4 games ("watched this rivalry for years"). I guess you'll have to remind me, though, who lead this game by 16 points in the 2nd half?

Carolina may have finished the job in Chapel Hill, but Duke is unbelievable in Cameron. And, Duke is just the better team.

So being up by 14 at the half (yes I forgot Duke hit a shot to cut it to 14 before the half my apologies) and then getting outscored 50-30 in the 2nd doesn't equal a choke job?

Congratulations on proving to be much more knowledgeable than VolBuck24 on both this rivalry and this year's teams. Admittedly, it wasn't a difficult task, but congratulations nevertheless.

Personally, I felt the difference in the game was Duke just started playing, and UNC was out-manned. UNC did the same thing to Duke a few years ago in Cameron with Hansbrough (sp?). IIRC, Duke jumped on them early, but UNC started playing, and that was the difference in the game.

with the shots that Seth Curry was creating and hitting with defenders in his face, you can't call this a choke job. Nor the shots Nolan Smith created. Yeah, I'm a Duke fan, but like others said, Duke just started playing. For a couple of years, UNC seriously outmanned Duke, but right now the tables are turned.

And then for Carolina to let Smith get behind them on the inbounds pass was just pathetic. I think the game was over already, but still, you can't let that happen.

I agree a little, but I think we found out tonight if Carolina has made it back to the top tier. They haven't.
