I don't know about this one. I think Oregon gives Alabama a better game than they did LSU.

Alabama has showed time and again they stuff the spread. Not so sure this would be a close game.

Oregon would struggle to move the ball on Bama and Bama would run rough shod over the Oregon defense.

Like I said, if we wouldn't have given the ball to them four times, it would have been a different game.

I'd probably pick them to beat us again, but I do think that it would be a great game.

It's definitely a tough argument, and all the more reason why the BCS needs to be demolished.

LSU and Alabama would BOTH beat the **** out of Oregon.

LSU has a tendency to "take" the ball away. Nevertheless, I'm pulling for you guys.

Surely this year has to be the straw that breaks the camels back? No way this cluster**** of a BCS season finale can conclude without deciding to implement a playoff system in the future.

please don't let Bama in the NC...oh please

If it is between Bama and a conference champion OK, it should be OK no question. Both lost at home, but OK won its conference.

That Texas Tech loss though. Geez.

No it really wouldn't...and even if the system were to fall apart because of it we'd more than likely just see it go back to "the bowls can invite whoever they want" where you get situations like #1 Michigan and #2 Tennessee in separate bowls.

Unless they're #2 overall. That supersedes it...so that someone has to go to the sugar bowl argument...yeah no

Yes it will. The gap in last week's BCS rankings between LSU/Okie Lite/Bama and everyone else is enormous, and won't be getting any smaller with Bama having the Iron Bowl left (the computers have Auburn ranked like 20th or something ridiculous).

Also spaced on debunking that piece of crap. The only team the Sugar Bowl HAS to take is the SEC champion if they are not playing for the BCS championship.

You don't think that those extra CGs will help out Oregon and/or Oklahoma get the jump at the end?

Winning your conference isn't a requirement to make the national championship game. While it should be that way, it isn't. It's already happened before. Losing to Texas Tech eliminated Oklahoma from consideration.

Oregon has #18 USC, OSU, and (probably) ASU left.

Alabama has Ga. Southern and Auburn.

You'd think that Oregon would have the advantage there. It's just a question of how much (and also the voters, obviously, who ARE 2/3 of the equation.)
