It is the most lopsided series played on an annual basis in the SEC for a reason. That's right, Tennessee is 51-7 vs Kentucky since 1965.

These are the games Kirby seems to manage better than any other; the ones where everyone is “doubting” them, talking up the other team, downplaying UGA’s capabilities and/or competitiveness etc.

Yep. Can't count the times this season that our fans were pulling for a blow out so we could play Nico and the other youngsters. Everyone wanted Heupel to let him run the offense instead of 3 runs and a punt. Can't have it both ways. Like you said, let the youngsters run the full offense when they're in....especially the QB. You can sprinkle in youth at other positions, but that's not so easy at QB. When that backup QB gets in, they need to play as if the game were still in doubt. I got no problems with Kirby doing what he did if it was the backup QB making the toss. Goes to the old question of what's more insulting...a QB throwing the ball trying to score when up big or an offense running simple dive plays or taking a knee so they wouldn't score again? Personally, I consider the latter a much greater embarrassment. As you said, offense is out there to score. It's the defense's job to make stops. If they aren't capable, that's on the defensive players and coaches. And everyone knows how much I despise UGA. I'd rather lose to bama than UGA.

You say QB decision making and he caught a lot of heat for choosing Fromm over Fields which pushed Fields to Ohio State but it looks like he’s done pretty well in his choices. He stuck with Bennett when everyone was saying they needed to switch to whatever 5 star they had at the time.

Agree in part but you know KY’s defense had given up long before that. Not exactly a fair fight. They weren’t even interested in being out there in the fourth quarter.

I am not a fan of Kirby and UGA but after last year, he deserves to be in same breath as Dabo Swinney, Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, etc. He is among the elite. Georgia is having an unprecedented run right now and the SEC looks like trash. I find it hard to pick against them in any game. I think their "struggles" are more about boredom or growing pains than Georgia being vulnerable.

It really stinks because Georgia's fanbase doesn't handle winning with grace or anything. They are one of the more vocal trash talking fanbases out there (even worse than Alabama fans in their heyday).

Old Kirby would be all run against UK, but new Kirby was fine with a front-loaded passing game yesterday. Kirby admitted he was gunning for an early lead because he wasn’t sure how well UGA could stop UK’s running game.

He knows that this year’s UGA has a lower floor than the last two teams. This year’s OL and DL are not at recent UGA level, and he’s at least trying to adapt. The ceiling is still as high as any other team, but UGA could have lost to AU and could easily lose to Missouri or Ole Miss, to say nothing of UT on the road.

Yeah the qb thing is more of a historical flaw. I think the UGA we saw last night is what you’ll get with the rest of the season. I only hope the Vols put up more of a fight than KY displayed. UGA May lose a game but I don’t think it happens til the post-season. We shall see.
