'20 VA C Dylan Cardwell

So he didn’t sign with GA?

Obviously didn’t sign with us and it’s at least within the realm of possibility that we asked him to wait because we are out of room. This entire thing is odd enough for me to begin to think that might be whats happened

I think he’s still got 5 days to sign right? I’m not sure if we asked in the sense that he’s a commit to us, but I could definitely see where Tennessee maybe has said they’re full in the fall but likely have a spot come spring.

Not necessarily worried about missin on Caldwell if there’s another option. We HAVE. To get a big. Should persuade Chet to reclassify if he’s eligible for it 😂

So we full for other visitor as well?

Odd stuff

We have an open spot on the roster to add that guy now, I’m not sure they wanna sign Cardwell now and Vescovi join the team because that would mean they’re 2 over come spring, and I’m not sure they wanna sign up for that in November.

Ok so it seems at most 1 over is the plan

Cardwell certainly looks like a good ball player; however from what Tennessee has and will have, I’m not sure Tennessee wants/needs to let someone go to acquire him for 3 or 4 years......to me a 1 year guy seems like a much better situation (my opinion doesn’t count for much, just seems like 2021 would be a better option here).

That is just the way it goes. Every year we have players people don’t expect to leave. Walker, Burns, and Bone weren’t predicted to leave at this point in time last year. I expect about two to be gone after the season.

No doubt

It’s not about someone leaving......it’s about someone leaving and this particular recruit filling that spot for 4 years..........I think it would be better suited to take a grad transfer for 1 year and filling the possible “4 year” spot with a 2021 recruit......given the talent level coming in, the rise in Tennessee’s recruitment level, and given Tennessee will have 2 dedicated centers next year anyway.

Just my opinion.

Any updates on this kid ? I really think UT needs to find a spot for this kid in the '20 class. The missing piece of the puzzle that will be an eventual Final 4, imo. UTs Tariq Owens, well, the Owens, Texas Tech got and needed last year that was so close to a Championship

Kid is more physically ready than any post on campus now. Wide shouldered, big body that this team lacks. Not sure why Barnes didn’t take his commit when he had the chance.
I realize it's almost a mathematical certainty that you are simply begging that question solely as a means to once again try and make Barnes look inept and foolish, but I'll ask anyway.

What makes you think Barnes has, A.) Had an opportunity to take/not take his commitment, and B.) Chose to tell "no" in that instance?

Nothing in that article, or any other that I am privy to, have even vaguely suggested as much.

It's just BS concern trolling.

I’ll play along

I slightly agree. I think taking Bailey forced us to have to slow play this kid due to not having a spot.

I don’t think we are going to have anyone leave that’s currently on the roster unless it’s Pons
