Damn there’s so much off topic BS in this thread.
About Cardwell, love the way he plays defensively and is very athletic around the rim and great at finishing lobs and around the rim in PnRs. With how good the staff is at developing low post players they could likely develop his low post game a lot. Not sure about his touch but has great coordination and hands. Very strong guy already with a great frame, size, overall length.
He’s a old school 5 who isn’t going to score a lot outside of close up shots, dunks, and lobs, and will not spread the floor, but will lock down the paint especially defense and has all the tools to be a phenomenal rebounder and shot blocker.
Worry about his lack of shooting ability some, iirc think his stats from AAU showed he shot below 50% from the FT line, mainly because none of Springer, Keon, and Walker is a great 3 point shooter. But defensively, with Keon and Jaden guarding the perimeter and Cardwell protecting the rim, should form a ridiculously good defense. And all 3 are such hard playing guys who don’t wanna give up an inch. It should be fun to watch.
Additionally, like someone else in the thread mentioned earlier, kid plays with a ton of passion. Will have to scale it back a little so he’s not T’d up every game, but I think that would be a good contrast to the more subdued playing style personalities of Keon, Jaden, and Walker. Cardwell would be the vocal guy to hype them up when they dunk all over someone. Cause you definitely aren’t going to get a lack of passion from Cardwell
