I have seen Chris Singleton play live when he was still playing for Cherokee high school.
Cherokee is our rival school and he came to play at our gym.

He has a great perimeter game but it almost seems like he is afraid to go in the paint. He also needs to put on more weight, once he got pushed around by our guys in the paint he wouldn't go back in there. He needs some work on his post and perimeter defense and rebounding. One bad thing though is that he flicked off our student section. I just hope he doesn't do that if he comes to Tennessee.

Overall though he looks like an outstanding player who, with the right coaching, could be great.

hv, is it possible that this class isn't going to be nearly as good as we thought it was? It sounds like there's a chance we don't land Elliot Williams, and I doubt we get Darius Miller, and apparently Zeller has dropped us as well.

Zeller was never much of a possibility. Miller and Singleton is a push. If land either, it is just as good as landing the other. We can still land a class of Wright/Holloway, Williams, Singleton/Miller/Gillenwater, and Jurick and it will be very solid.

Gillenwater is new to me, but he looks impressive. Just found this on rivals:

"Off to Notre Dame Prep this fall, Gillenwater has emerged as a top target for Tennessee and said the Vols are after him the hardest. Bruce Pearl was on hand to see him. Pittsburgh's Jamie Dixon took in the game, too. Memphis was there as well. Gillenwater added Villanova and Florida are also interested"

I played against Phillip Jurick, and IMO he nothing special...He is lazy on the court..He would miss a shot on defense and get mad and walk up the court (if he even made it that far)I dont even think he is the best player on the Team......He just tall and take up a lot of room besided that he is lazy......

I've watched him play several games.. and you'd be "lazy" too if you were 6'10 250. There's a difference in being lazy when you're 6'0 180 and his size.

And he wasn't the best player on the team because dreadlock whitey was a major ball hog.

I was at a couple of his games and while he has talent he is just mostly a large player. Myabe he can take up some space under the basket but i did not see any "Animal" in him.

We seemed to be out of it for a while with Miller. Our main wing possiblities are Chris Singleton and Renaldo Woolridge.

I think he visited Duke this weekend.
Don't know how it went....

if he doesn't commit to them, we are looking good imo

No, he hasn't even played his high school Sr year. That is the idiot post of the month right there, which is tough considering it is the first month of football.

I guess we will find out when we get here. So far, seeing as how I live next to his school, he hasn't showed me anything special. Maybe Pearl can coach him up good.

Besides the fact that he's 6-10ish 250? And the fact he is a beast when it comes to defense, rebounding, and blocking shots? And the fact that he is a great athlete considering his size?

I've seen him play and isn't great on offense but that isn't why we recruited him. He can get a lot better this year on the offensive end though since he doesn't have an obnoxious, white boy, ball hog with dreds at point guard.
