They did have issues closing from time to time, but they were still about league average for blown saves despite a couple of middle inning guys coughing up leads regularly early in the year. They blew 21 while the league leader was at 12, so I don't think it was really a glaring issue the way it has been a few times in the past. They definitely weren't running Mariano Rivera out there . . . but they also weren't subjecting themselves to Farnsworth, Reitsma, Wickman Kolb etc.Aside from blowing how many saves?

It still blows my mind that Mike Gonzalez finished the year with an ERA under 3.00Then maybe it was blowing saves at the worst possible times (ie in the last 2 months) but it was certainly disheartening to see when Hanson would throw 7 great innings and then Soriano would give up a huge HR

I don't think he did such an outstanding job this year. I'm not too keen on the mancrush everyone has on him either. I mean how hard has it been to win the AL West recently?
I don't think they go that route. He's a little too old to be the bat the Braves rely on.
That would make even less sense to me since the Braves have Freddy Freeman supposedly waiting in the wings for 2011. Maybe the Braves could bring him in at a low enough price tag for it to make sense, but to me he looks like Garrett Anderson with a little more pop and lower Avg.Talking about Dye, there is an article discussing about him playing 1st base to extend his career.
