2010-11 Schedule Basketball Schedule

17 - Minimum number of regular-season games slated to be televised nationally (CBS, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU)

:D

I'm definitely making the trip to Pittsburgh! Never been in their arena but it looks cool, right in the middle of a very nice campus. Should be fun.

Is Belmont(2 times) a UT Sports error?

Something I don't understand is we play Arkansas State in the regular season as well. Seems the better arrangement would be for us to Belmont and for you guys to play Arkansas State instead of both of playing the same opponent twice in the same season.

Sounds like its a two team tourney with us and NOVA.

Don't know much about Missouri State. They seem to think they will be a tough out for us.

We will be pretty decent...return our starting 5 (plus our 6th and 8th man) from a 24 win team and will start 4 seniors. Not a typical Valley team because we have 3 centers over 6'9" but we don't really have any true power forward types...6'3" to 6'6" guard/wing forward types will be the biggest we have at the 4 spot. We lost some depth in the off season with a couple injuries so 2-3 frosh will have to step up for us to be really good. Still we are pretty experienced and have some guys who can knock it down...made 252 treys and shot 37% as a team.

It would be more logical. I'm guessing both schools had already previously signed contracts to play the regular season game.

I'm really debating a trip to Pitt for that game. That would be fun.

And I'm finally glad we've gotten the final game of the season against UK.

Overall, that 's a nice schedule.

Hosting Belmont twice is stupid. They should move the non-NIT game to next season and play somebody else that night.

Not getting the Indiana job does not make him a mediocre coach. He has kept Vandy significant in the SEC. That alone is an accomplishment.
Why? Every Vanderbilt coach, with the possible exception of Van Breda Kolff, from Roy Skinner forward has kept them relevant.

I agree. They have a history of being relevant in the SEC. I simply don't think you can maintain that at Vandy and not be a good coach. They seldom have the talent level of elite teams, but remain very competitive. You can always come back that Duke, Stanford, and others have the same academic situation as Vandy and exceed Vandy's performance level. I would have to agree. Is he an exceptional coach---No.
