Jealousy's a terrible thing.

And, IMO, that's why some people become frontrunning bandwagon jumpers of as many successful teams as they can.

IMO, that mentality is for bitter, envious, insecure, sore loser types.

Most fans choose A team and stick with that team, good and/or bad. Just my opinion.

That's just stupid. Go look up the definition of envy. Why would I be bitter or insecure about anything? Do you know me? What a bunch of 18-22 year olds do on a football field doesn't alter my moods, unlike (whoops, forgot about the rules). Your argument also has a gaping hole in the fact I can't stand Florida, Alabama, and Texas, all of which have had more recent success than my four teams. BTW, what the Hell's a Gator fan doing on a Tennessee site, anyway? I root for Tennessee. You don't. I guess you're even sadder than you tried to paint me as.

It's not like head coaches are supposed to defend their players and believe what they say or anything.

Even in the face of a boldfaced lie...sure, all head coaches should back their players...what better way for a football coach, a leader of men, to teach life lessons than by enabling behavior like that?

Kiffin:
"Sure kid, go ahead and lie about other coaches calling you about transferring. Nevermind it's the same coach I falsely accused of cheating, and nevermind it's WAY too easy to check phone records to see if you're telling the truth. I got your back on this because I'm your coach and I will back you 100%, regardless of how wrong you are. I will support you blindly in spite of your overwhelming stupidity."

Who wouldn't want their kid to play for a coach like that?

Yeah, coaches not believing their players and checking phone records is a great way to win over the locker room. Besides, what did it hurt? It riled up the band of pu**ies in that sewer they call Gainesville? Good.

Kiffin's made no bones about saying his job is simply to win. Coaches who babble about "character building" instead of winning football games usually don't remain employed very long.

We have philosophical differences regarding what constitutes effective long-term leadership.

And if Kiffin's job is simply to win, he has yet to do his job worth a damn at any level as a head coach.

Then monte's kid is NOT good at his job, by his own definition. Unless he meant recruiting rankings and not actual games.

IMO, monte's kid is incapable of and will never be accused of "character building" whether his teams win or lose.

At one time, Julius Caesar had yet to win a single battle, The Beatles had yet to be broadcast on a single radio station, and the Mafia had yet to execute a single hit.

I've heard that for the last few years. the only bad loss they had last year was to VA Tech. If they get by VA Tech this year, I think they have a pretty good shot. Harris is beast.

It will not be an SEC team this year. I think an SEC team will make it, but ultimately lose. Texas will have a down year because Mack feels like he is sitting pretty with a 5 mil check.

The ACC will field some good teams, but may suffer from too tough of a conference syndrome, being a poor man's SEC.

Based on all that, the real players are: The best ACC team, Ohio State, and Bama.

I forgot I made this thread, so I had to follow up with some wild predictions. So there you go.

I think you're leaving Oklahoma out. You're right Texas will probably be a little down this year and the only other two games that I think Oklahoma has to worry about is FSU on the road and Nebraska, but I think they can win both of those games.

I don't know, Alabama loses quite a bunch, especially defensively.

He's saying that the 2010 game has already been played, and Bama won. I had the same thought when I first saw this thread, but then realized that it would take somewhat of a douche to actually post it.
