2012 Silly Season Discussion

I think Stewart is gonna be in the 33 at Daytona. I could be wrong though.

Sorry, brain fart. Thought you were talking about nationwide. Cup cars and Gaughan don't go together.

I agree but money talks.

Gaughan's family is the only reason this team is running any races at all.

There is a report out there saying that Tommy Baldwin Racing's #36 owner points will be going to the #10 car to lock Danica in. Reutimann will run the 26 races Danica is not entered in. In return SHR will provide technical support and pit crew to TBR.

I heard Reut mentioned last week but couldn't find any info online. Thanks for the update.

I haven't seen it posted anywhere but Red Bull Racing has been bought. A group of investors from the former TRG Motorsports purchased the cars and owner points. From what I'm hearing and seeing they will run the #83 and #93. Landon Cassill will run full time in one car and the other not announced. Also it sounds like the name will be BK Racing, the new owner owns a ton of BK franchises.

This sounds slightly more credible than the infamous America's Racing Team.

Tony might be mad is he loses all those free whoppers from the BK deal.

Tony was sponsored by the real BK company. This team is just owned by a guy who owns a lot of franchises and puts the BK logos on the car for free.

Hendrickcars.com to sponsor Kurt Busch for both the Daytona 500 and the Nationwide opener, he will also sponsor Cole Whitt at Bristol, and be a major associate sponsor on Elliott Sadler's Cup ride. Also looks like they will sponsor 12 races on the #5.

Finally MWR locks in all three of their cars by buying the owner points of the #32 team. The other part of that rumor is that after Daytona the #32 takes over the #6 owner points.
