2013 F Austin Nichols (Memphis Briarcrest)

on rivals they got him as a duke lock. duke 85% gators 7%,vandy 5%,misso 3% and Tennessee is no where in his mind according to most people on rivals.and hubbs is same way duke, fla, vandy and no mention of the VOLS.actually the vols should not land any recruit they are after except for landry.i was a member of rivals but i shut that down cause all they talk about is ky,duke, unc and the rest of the teams i hate.and no talk of Tennessee.

I guess that means we will sign him in November.

Yeah, I wouldn't go to the BB recruiting board on Rivals. It's a huge college basketball blue blood circle jerk. And Memphis fans.

Btw MC, what happened to your predictions ad down right absolute statements that will Barton would never be drafted, and then laugh at me when I say he's projected 2nd round???

Another solid prediction, even though you continue to say you've never made an incorrect prediction on this board.

Blazers take guard Will Barton out of Memphis with 40th pick - The Washington Post

I can't believe I would actually say that Will Barton would never be drafted. I may have been skeptical that he would be drafted lottery/first round, but never? Perhaps you could point me to this conversation. Was this one of the times you were trying to convince me that Memphis would have 8 draftees in the 2012 draft?

From the latest projections, he was supposed to go anywhere from 14 to 35. He obviously slipped a bit to 40th, but I'm happy for the guy. He's a hard worker and will earn himself a roster spot.

Yes you said he woukdnt be drafted because I showed a projection of 2nd round and you weren't buying it.

Not all that worried about it just figured I'd point it out.

Could you please show me where I said menphis would have 8 drafted in 2012 though, because now I'm pretty sure you're just making things up.

The 8 draftees was hyperbole, obviously.

Even before the 2011-2012 season, I don't think I would've scoffed at a 2nd round projection for Will Barton in the 2012 draft. I think you're getting him mixed up with Wesley Witherspoon or JJ or Black.

MC you really need to do a better job of remembering what you say...

Memphis will have ZERO NBA draft picks this season.

I've also never, ever, ever, ever seen Will Barton projected as an NBA draft pick.

2012 Mock Draft | NBADraft.net

I love Will Barton, but all he's heard from scouts all year is how he doesn't have the body to get drafted. Once foreign players are taken into account, Will Barton falls from the second round. He's barely hanging on as is.

Barton will declare, but more likely won't get drafted.

Will Barton will go undrafted.

Capiche'?

They've accepted the truth...

Settle down kids. I was wrong with predictions on my own player's draft status. I'm still smacking HRs when it comes to recruiting info.

Notes from espn article...

He made USA team but told Donovan he wast ready to leave the country and be away from home.

Now realizing he probably will want to remain pretty close to home for college, great news for Tennessee.

Those saying Donovan coaching the team wasn't a benefit, well that's BS. Nichols said he was able to learn a lot about how Donovan will run the gator program. Also, the trainer for the USA team is also floridas trainer, so he was able to work with him.

His twin sister is enrolled at UT, he was held back in 7th( she chose not to be, I presume athletic reasoning)

All signs are looking good for UT right now
