2013 F Austin Nichols (Memphis Briarcrest)

Are they not game changers for our team? Would we not look drastically different without them?

You're being a bit too literal with the definition - every single player who ever sees the floor is a game changer then - hell even the walk ons are game changers now because without them the starters are not near as good come game
time.

But I'm specifying those 3. I'm certainly not saying we would be a drastically different team without Richardson or Miller, etc.

We would look drastically different and we did without Kenny Hall when he was suspended.. So I guess he should be a game changer too.

With our limited inside presence, it did make a pretty big difference, aka it changed our game.

But he's not a game changer.

You don't see game changer used to describe average players - if you take the words literally rather than how they are used into today's sports... I.e. Lebron and Durant are game changers...and not Shane Battier is a game changer... Then it just completely tarnishes the phrase.

You can't take it to a literal meaning.. That's just not how it's used.. If Kenny hall was a game changer so was McBee and Richardson and even yemi and Miller. When you think of Ryan Childress do you think game changer? Lol.

Stokes will go down as THE BEST big man in the history of Tennessee :)
I had a big bowl of optimism for breakfast this morning, gave me the runs but tastes great !

I understand what you're saying. When I first commented on Nichols being a game changer, I was talking in a broad sense. I can understand your argument that just because a guy makes a significant contribution doesn't make him a game changer. UK had 6 guys last year that were great players and will all probably make NBA rosters. However, only one, Davis, actually changed how the game was played, thus a game changer.

Not ever considered a big man

King played the 4 at UT. He was a very effective inside player with the quickest release I've ever seen. No way he could be considered anything but an inside player. Stokes will have to make dramatic improvement to beat King as the best player ever at UT.

Would not be considered a "big man"

God help poor Austin's ssoul if he goes to play for Corch Frank Haith. That guy couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper sack. Austin is too smart to fall for that nonsense, especially with NCAA sanctions looming for Frankie.
