Sugar coat it all you want, Jones has his work cut out for him. Drink the Jones-aid and be happy it's a new day at UT. But once it gets serious and the recruits make their decisions, don't start the excuse making when it is not as good as you predict now. It will not be Jones' fault. Hart and Cheek made the program's bed first when they tried to make it work with Dools last season and it failed miserably; then by botching the search. Jones is walking into a mess. So if he pulls out a 5.6-5.7 average for all recruits he has done as well as could be expected. That's a mid-high 3 for you star watchers.
And based on Rivals ratings and recruiting classes over the past half dozen years that gets you a 7-12 season W/L finish in the SEC if it continues past one class. So we will learn what the best staff in America can do by early February 2014. Can they get more from less on the field and capitalize on it with the next class, or will it be Dools version 2.0?
