Exactly most of these guys want to have something to complain about. USCe is another team that we could possible beat this year too.

Yup! Imo, Auburn is in the "team we should beat" category. Don't know how they beat us, yet we beat UGA and Vandy, two teams that beat us and had MUCH better season's than the barn.

Austin Peay - W
West Ky - W
@Oregon - L
@UF - L
South Bama - W
UGA - L
Bye
SC - L*
@Bama - L
@Missouri - W
Auburn - W

Vandy - W
@Kentucky - W

With a week off before the game and it being at home I could see us beating SC. If not through I think we will be 7-5.

I dont think our O will be as good as last year but I think it will be fine. D should be much better (Shirley it can't be worse!) if we had of even had our 2011 D in 2012, we probably beat UGA, Mizzou, USCe & Miss State. That's 9-3 right there plus a bowl!

I don't believe it can be worse...and don't call me Shirley!

Why in the world do people think we can beat USCe?

Out of the teams we "are not" supposed to beat, USC is the team I think we could beat. Outside of Clowny, I think overall, we have as much talent as they do. They just have better coaching.

Currently I can't think of one player on our def that would start over what USC has. And Spurrier will have that offense rolling. Sorry, but same guys, same results until I see a change.

I hear ya, I'm not saying we will beat USC but if we do beat a team that we aren't supposed to, that's who I'm guessing. And call me crazy, call me a homer but I think we have some solid defensive players, we just had the worst DC in recent memory coaching them.

I'm looking for a big year out of Ladarrele McNeil, and Byron Moore. If they can get the playbook down, they'll be fun to watch..

Here's hoping B. Randolph comes back 100%. That was a big loss early last year. If he does, got to put him in that mix.

I think we have a shot at doing well this season. It will be tough no doubt. Last season we had the perfect chance at making an impact.
But...I believe the key to this year's success lies on offense. Can we get it clicking? We aren't lacking in talent at WR's. Our running game SHOULD be a little bit better than last year which wasn't top notch but was decent. It comes to the QB situation. Who is gonna step in and make an impact and do well. If we can get a guy to be a solid QB, we can definitely win 8 or 9 games.
I am not worried about our defense as much because we have a lot of experienced players coming back and we are putting a big emphasis on defense in the off season.

I got you, I'm not here to piss on anybody's parade. I hope we can win some meaningful football this year. But I'm in the wait and see camp.

8-4.... UT has the right coach

6-6.... Hart needs to work on a list to replace Jones as early as after the '14 season but no later than the '15 season.
UT has 17 or more Sr's in the two deep plus 2 or 3 JR's who could leave early. I am not blaming Jones or faulting his efforts but the '13 recruiting class does little to plug all of those holes. As thin as LB is this year, it will likely be much worse in '14. All 5 starters may be gone from the OL.

What I am saying is that if Jones' coaching ability only gets UT to 6-6 this year then it will be worse in '14. That could get him canned by itself... or it could just mean that he would need a miracle and coaching lessons to have a chance to save himself in '15.... with a still young team.

IMO, he MUST prove he can coach THIS year by beating someone he should not beat.

Unless you are paying the buyout that isn't going to happen even if he only wins 2 games in the next two years
