I appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to step out and say it, really I do. However, "OUs talent is not that much greater then (than) ours" is a statement that is completely devoid of context. If I concede that their talent and ours is equal (and I don't... but hypothetically speaking) our talent is still young, unproven, and untested. If you think 6 weeks or 2 months in a college weight program is the same as being in one many semesters, you're just dead wrong. And it will show when we play OU, Bama, etc.

I believe that in time these kids will fulfill their vast potential and, with the help of future big-time classes and stability in the coaching staff, raise the Tennessee football team back up to where it is supposed to be. Could that "perfect storm arise" and we beat OU at their place this year with like 40% of our roster as underclassmen? I suppose anything is possible. I think that there is a better chance that I print out your post after the game, frame it, and hang it on the wall next to my pictures of the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, and the Loch Ness Monster.

:) The great thing (or maybe worst thing) about the internet is that it's all on the record now! It will be fun to look back on some of these threads and see who had it right and wrong.

Just so you know, on this particular topic I am pulling for you and not me.

He is wrong and and everyone who agrees with him needs to take a long look in the mirror and figure some things out cuz this team is faster, more talented, deeper and a hell of a lot more Hungary then last year. It makes me angry knowing how many of you listen to this nonsense. It's like you want so bad for me to be wrong.

no, its how u *****ed about all the recruits in your earlier thread. i agree with you but u started a thread and got blasted ....got to have thick skin to go on. so let them ***** and dont answer them ..it will get better unless you like the attention from people calling you out.:salute:

I wasn't *****ing about all the recruits, JoNes has done a great job, I was just a little startled at the consecutive amount of 3s and no one was concerned that is all. Overall love the talent CBJ is bringing.

The last time I looked under the NCAA rules Butch can only coach. He cannot get out on the field and play, nor can any of the other coaches. So you are going to be negative about Butch if he does not win 7 games this year. He has one of the TOUGHEST, I REPEAT TOUGHEST schedules in the country. He has had the players playing his O and D for one season and he has a bunch of freshman. Really you EXPECT him to win 7 games. That is a ridiculous thought. I want, and I hope we win 7 games this season, I would be ecstatic, but you are setting the stage to come back on here and dog CBJ if he does not. Give the man 2 years and these freshman some SEC experience under their belts then raise your expectations and see that in 2015 we should have 7 - 9 wins and go up from there. GBO - HAVE BEEN A VFL FROM THE DAY I WAS BORN!

first I want to say I agree with you 100% but he is doing nothing wrong wanting to be positive about this years team and he never said that he would be mad if we didn't get 7 wins. People assume that he would complain if we didn't.

people attacking him for something they assume he may do in the future is absurd to say the least.

I have said that 6 wins would be acceptable, but nothing to be proud of. 5 wins would be an absolute failure and I would question CBJ coaching ability and def want new coordinators. Thanks for the support. Volnation needs more souls like you. I fear the worst for many one here.
