2014 DL without Lambert

auburn is just a hot team right now on and off the field.no sense in trashing them because they beat us on signing lambert.Lets move on and hope cbj replaces him.

Without taking in any more recruits, here is how I see it lining up:

If the coaches do put Carr back outside:

WDE: Vereen
DT: O'Brien
DT: Saulsberry
DT Depth: Clark, Barnett, Owen Williams
SDE: Carr/Williams

Wildcards: 3*s Malik Brown, Jaylen Miller, Kendal Vickers, LaTroy Lewis. All of them were WDEs out of HS. The coaches will know where they stand RE: WDE/SDE. If they're comfortable with that then they could look at this:

Carr stays at DT:

WDE: Vereen/Wildcard/Henderson
DT: O'Brien
DT: Saulsberry
DT Depth: Carr, Clark, Carson, Williams, Barnett
SDE: Williams/Wildcard/Hendrix

Obviously, that would be best with Lambert at SDE but overall it's not as bad as if we lost Blair or Pearson. Still not a great situation.

Nope. But the way you said it about paying him, like that's an excuse and cannot happen is ridiculous. Regardless of your opinions, Auburn have been cheaters for years, it's not an excuse just fact.

So how is it an excuse for UT fans to say Auburn cheats when it's a fact?

Agreed. The other thing to keep in mind is the net difference in what we will field in 14 over 13 or 12. Losing a group of starters that only averaged about 17 sacks a season on DL isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think young blood can still be an upgrade.

Its not a fact that Lambert got paid. Chizick , Trooper and a lot of those problems aren't there anymore.

Of course, Hendrix could step on campus and be a Day 1 start but I wouldn't count on it.

All I said is Auburn has cheated and that means they are cheaters. That is a fact. So based on their track record they could have paid Lambert. Why is that so hard for you to understand? Why do you do what you can to go against the Vols?

Of course, you should be pissed. I'm pissed too. I was just making a joke because it seems like the Butch apologists love to say we don't even have enough talent to beat Vanderbilt. This helps their argument...I was trying really hard to find a silver lining.

And I'm sure he used the Bama, Mizzou, Auburn, Kentucky and Vandy last drive tape to show this staff isn't the best in the world.

And he honestly wouldn't be too terribly incorrect. Even Kentucky put up almost 400 yards on us.

This staff lost this guy in a head-head because they gave Auburn ammo to work with here.

UT still is beating Auburn for McDowell and Mouhon. I'm honestly terrified to think that Auburn is just slow playing them knowing they have until NSD to flip them and just prioritized the EE guys first.

I'm trying not to be negative but I have a bad feeling about those 2 now.

And we lost 4 games by a combined 140 points and are spending the Bowl season at home.

These are facts, folks. Deny them if you want but if you want to know why we're losing these recruits... that is why.
