Devin Mitchell was coming here until Larry Austin committed. Cofer and Cornish have hinted at it a bunch of times in convos between the three on twitter.

I'm leaning with accidental as well. Even if he picks MSU I would still say accidental, just doesn't make sense with how he's handled it.

I will say it's strange. Accidentally RT'ing something would take a lot. I'm not going to read too much into. It's odd bc he's not the type to RT all the "come to _____ school we need you."

Yeah, it takes a big brain fart to accidentally RT. Even if he did, I would think he'd be aware enough to delete it if it were a mistake.

Looney doesn't RT anyone about schools ever. Yeah this is weird but think about it...he has been this quiet and kept things so locked down, that he isn't going to ruin his announcement on RTing some random dude. I think you guys are looking too much into this.

IMO since the kid has kept everything very tight lipped throughout the entire process this tweet means absolutely nothing.

There's nothing really credible or noteworthy out there. None of the staffs involved feel particularly good about this. At least for a while, constant word has been that Duke is worried about Tennessee and vice versa. Looney, and those around him, are non-talkers for the ages.

I have heard all kinds of different rumors in the last 24 hours.

I have heard that Duke is losing confidence. I've heard that Florida is gaining steam and that Looney really likes their track record with getting guys to the league. What I've heard consistently is that Tennessee is still in the mix.

On the Duke thing, I'm just passing along rumors here, but I was told by someone with knowledge of the matter that Duke wanted to make one last in-home visit (they made their previous one in the spring) and the family declined. Some have interpreted that as the Blue Devils fading, while some think that just means he's made up his mind and Duke doesn't need to waste their time.

I'm not going to lie and say I have a great feel for this one at all. All I can say with confidence is that I think Tennessee felt like they were still very much in it on Tuesday evening.

The Duke 247 mod updated this morning on his news he was holding last night. He states that Duke assistant Nate James flew to Milwaukee overnight and is visiting with Looney this morning.

I don't know if this is desperation or a sign that Duke is in the drivers seat since the Looney family is letting the Dookies visit with him 24 hours from his announcement.

The Looney family actually told them they wouldn't talk to Duke again when they asked for another meeting. The Duke coach flew up there to use another evaluation on Looney so he could try and talk to him at his high school, not at his home. This could be looked at several different ways. Duke may be in desperation mode. It could also turn the family off that they asked Duke not to show up, but they did it anyway.

I am back at it again. More Duke msg board talk and not alot of confidence either. This was taken from the rivals msg board


As for looney, i think its really 50/50, but he's done such an awesome job of keeping everything close to the vest. I hope like hell we get him, Landing Travis is great as well, landing both would be incredible.

So the Looney family told Duke not to bother to make a last trip up there and they came anyway? Did I read that right? Also why can't UT make a trip up there?

That makes it sound almost like Duke coaches feel like Looney has more interest in Duke than his parents do. IF that was the case, would that be the first time in history parents were not in Duke's corner?
