Easy experiment would for a UT fan to tweet a similar message to him and see if that is re-tweeted.

It really may have been an accidental re-tweet. The new update from yesterday can easily make you select stuff by accident. I also looked to see who the guy was that tweeted it was and he ask him (Looney) after that tweet which way he was leaning with no response. I don't think its MSU at all.

FWIW Devin Robinson did pick Florida today as BTO was saying earlier. His game is like Looney. Playing the same position. That may eliminate Florida.

Hate to say it, but if it were a mistake, it would be deleted. It has a comment, a couple favorites, and a few RTs itself. Hard to think Looney overlooked it.

I would think so too. What I'm getting from it. If they knew Looney was coming there why not delay a day with Robinson. Might be putting too much into in seeing that Robinson is a 5 star player also but just my thinking.

When was the last time there was a pre-announced commitment of a high-profile basketball or football player, and we got the player without Hubbs/Lewis/etc. hearing anything within the last 24 hours?

I'd be more optimistic if I were a Duke fan - but that has more to do with them having other options of top players.

Yea I can't imagine them getting both, but who knows. I do think it's us and Duke, but I unfortunately think it's Duke.

Definitely a good question. We usually hear one way or another, but there's nothing and the reasoning for that is I truly believe Looney hasn't informed the involved staffs of his decision.

Paul Biancardi has an article up where he makes a bold prediction on Looney.

"Looney, who will announce on Thursday, will choose Tennessee over Duke, Florida, Michigan State, UCLA and Wisconsin."

I disagree with him, FWIW.

Either he's a blatant homer, or he has concrete info nobody else does. Maybe I'm used to the way VQ conducts business, but Hubbs or Lewis would never post things like that.

They don't really play the same position. Robinson is more of a SF; Looney is more of a PF.

Regardless, I'd be shocked if we landed Looney.

I've seen other stuff from him and he seems like a big homer. Nobody wants to lose out on a 5star recruit to another program that he may think is beneath them. Or maybe he knows something.

So we all like our chances with him but now all the sudden we don't think we're going to land him? I guess I'm the only on here who thinks we're going to land him.

After the whole Austin Nichols thing, I don't trust what anyone says until they announce it themselves. I honestly won't be shocked if it's any of his 6 that get their name called tomorrow. UCLA and Florida would somewhat surprise me but as closed lip as this recruitment been who knows.

I want to be done with the day now. Just so I can fast forward to tomorrow. This anticipation is killing me. I'm ready for it to be over with lol.
