After the Nichols situation people are just skeptical of getting burnt again.

Also, I'm fully aware of how the crystal ball works, but the fact that everyone is picking duke and not one pick for Tennessee can't be ignored IMO. It's kind of like when we were a bubble team the last 2 years, everybody had us out but we still held hope and tried to find any good info that supported us, but ultimately we all knew we weren't getting in.

That first year we should have gotten in, but good point. I feel like the crystal ball is predicting Duke because it's Duke, a powerhouse known for getting optimal talent and Coach K gave his parents a good impression from what I've read (it's Coach K, he's awesome). If there was legitimate information out there, I'd trust the ball, but there isn't good information.

Gotcha. I mean I didn't know if they were saying they were in it, or if they were saying like you were that they'd be shocked if he picked Florida.

Rob Lewis with VQ hasn't said he thinks Tennessee, but has been pretty adamant that Tennessee feels like they're definitely in it.

That's what I'm hanging my hat on as well. Most of the picks are old and that's when most thought he was a duke lean way back, that turned out false but they never changed their picks. Now the recent ones are guys with a history of simply piggy backing. The crystal ball has definitely been wrong before, and given how quiet it has been this could be one of those times.

Couple things from Duke's scout site, their mod seems to be a bit less of a homer...

According to him he feels confident in saying Looney's parents are in duke's corner, if true that's troublesome as that was what we thought we had.

Looney's brother is apparently a rapper and a huge duke fan, he's releasing his cd tomorrow and having some party. There seems to be a thought that looney wouldn't announce on the same day and go against his brothers team.

He mentioned, and I've seen other Dukies mention this so I'm trying to track the origination, that Tennessee has faded down the stretch.

This mod admitted that nobody knows, including all involved coaching staffs and that this has been one of the craziest recruitments in recent memory. Apparently there's some Florida guys saying their staff thought Looney was theirs, and they also visited with looney today.

Gosh it's so hard to get 5 stars. I hope we don't have to settle for 2 and 3 stars every year.

As has been noted on here, Looney seems to have a real desire to be one and done. He is not likely to be one and done at Duke (as he may need two or three years). There is a real difference between making the league and staying in the league. Duke can help with both, but prefers for their players to achieve the latter.

Camp isn't talking for sure. Duke sending Nate up there was, IMO, a sign they aren't sure. In checking with sources today...Brian is correct. Mom and Dad are in Duke's corner (but I was told they don't know either). Older brother too. After that, it's a guessing game.

He retweeted a tweet that said can't wait for you to put on that green and white hat" but isn't retweeting anything from Vol fans and players that gave him a s/o. Just throwing that out there. I don't know much about his recruitment.
