If we lose out and he ends up at MSU was it a mistake, they didn't visit this am?

First of all I am not buying the story about him still deciding as late as tonight but if its true why use the last visit so long ago. That's an easy second guess

It is quite possible that we felt comfortable enough to do so. If that was the case and he does wind up at Uf or Duke then we will all ask the same question. Why use it then? Or could it be we closed the deal then?

Fair criticism, and one that will likely be asked if he winds up at Duke or UF. The flip side, what would you be saying if they didn't use it, Duke did and he committed 2 weeks ago while we've got a visit in our back pocket?

Oh yea.

I think he is ours. Only discussing the possibility all these reports are correct and he hadnt made a decision until now.

Questioning something like that is silly. It's a crapshoot and hindsight is 20/20.

Judging coaches on their dates of visits is unfair. You don't know the whole story. Maybe we were slipping and felt we needed to use it early or we'd be cut from field. You don't know.

Seems to me CCM knows what he's doing. If I asked anyone to handicap the 6 teams involved for Looney 6 months ago, UT would not have been given a shot vs 4 elites and the home school.

Exactly. I didn't even think we would ever be in looney's top 5. It's a great recruiting job by Zo to basically be I'm his top 2

Nobody knows where Looney is going. Have it on good authority his father has been telling coaches that he and his wife will find out where their son is going when Kevon announces tomorrow. Normally I don't buy that line, but with as silent as this recruitment has been, I'm kind of believing it. No leaks, no words of leans and the staffs involved either truly have no idea what will happen tomorrow or it is the best kept secret by a group of coaches recruiting a kid ever.

Not uncommon for there to be wonder about where a kid will pick. But, 99% of the time there is at least a general consensus about two or three schools. Not really the case here. Really, UCLA seems to be the only choice that would really surprise a lot of people. Duke, Tennessee, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Florida all getting run today.

Would say the most common three schools getting discussed are Duke, Florida and Tennessee (alphabetically listed).

I'm not judging anything. I"m stating a well known fact in recruiting. When recruiting elite prospects, you want the last contact if at all possible and if you can't get the last one, you want as close to the last as humanly possible. If you disagree with that you're clueless.
