No, message boards aren't for stupidity- already laying the foundation to roast a coach for a decision that hasn't been made yet. I don't do it often, but we have the right to call out stupidity, too. I just wonder about people. I think most of the time people really aren't that dumb- they just enjoy the rise they get from others.

If CCM lands him I will be the first to commend him and the staff. If we finish second, I stand by my earlier comment, that using our last visit two weeks ago was a major and stupid mistake.

It's for opinions......some opinions is it is a great job if we finish top two for looney( I disagree)...why does it matter if someone thinks he screwed up by not saving a visit or wants to roast him? Butch jones was being roasted bc of def line recruiting six months before signing day....he proved the haters wrong. Zo has to prove the haters wrong.

If we finish second the visit situation wont bother me but not having a back up plan would. We passed on some pretty good 3 year players to go all in on him.

Easy to prove haters wrong when you get to pick 20-25 kids compared to 3-5 each year. A lot of room for error that way. Also who cares if CCM used his last in home 2 weeks ago. He's been after Looney probably longer than any coach and most def been after him the hardest! Also made him his number 1 priority! Coach K and other coaches haven't. If we don't get looney it's not because CCM didn't try, because he busted his butt off.

Most times the player picks when he wants to visit schools. That may have been when Looney wanted to visit Tennessee. If that's when he wants to as coaches, you just go with it and make it the best visit for him you can.

We already got our class with four players who ALL WILL CONTRIBUTE at UT. Getting Looney is just saying "**** it" and putting a whole can of sprinkles and chocolate syrup on the ice cream sundae you worked your ass for because you can and ****ing deserved it.

The risk you gotta take especially when you technically don't have that 5th scholarship available. Would London have been the safer pick and get? Yes definitely, but safer doesn't win you championships. His back up plan is Turman and Cofer, who are already signed. They fill the spots, Looney is just the gravy or icing to this class. If CCM would have signed London or another 3 or 4* everyone would have complained because he quit pursing Looney. I swear the man can win for losing. Night everyone hope we hear our name tomorrow, if we don't I hope our fanbase shows some class (we aren't UK fans)...

I personally could care less when he visited looney( wasn't my opinion)......I'm more interested in top 25 classes which Zohasnt gotten yet...hopefully this will be the yr.

Ranked or not the class he got last year is going to be an amazing class. AJ and Darius were both underrated IMO and were steals. His classes have gotten better and better every year. This class even without Looney is a nice class.

Possibly.....we have not seen either one play yet, but it's hard to consistently be a top team doing that

Pearl did and his recruiting was worse IMO. He had tons of bust each class. Some of his best classes were good on paper, but never panned out because of behavioral issues/health reason, etc...and he stayed in the top 25. Also JUCO's are what saved him. Sorry trying not to start a Pearl vs Martin debate, I supported both and was a huge Pearl fan but I can admit his recruiting wasn't all that and started to really decline towards his last couple of years.

Let it be known, I did not bring up pearl but he was not declining......his last class was one of his best...j McRae, T Harris, and T Golden. The team wasn't declining either....his 2nd to last team was his elite eight team and his last team was ruined by the scandal that he caused but this is not a comparison.

It's about our coach now and I don't think u can be a consistent top 25 coach without top 25 recruiting. It's still early and he has improved some each yr so he may get there soon.

No, woke up to get some water, had to check everything lol.

Vibe doesn't seem good. Another pick for UF in the CB. Duke sites are definitely nervous, and in the dark, but they're reporting heavy Florida talk. One mod posted that as of 12am he thought Kevon may not even know.
