To me it seems that he knew he wasn't getting those top offers and his stock was sliding a little. He needed to grab onto a school he knew would fully be there. Plus he can go into Huntington Prep and just play. I'm not surprised really just kind of early.

It was a little early but I'm not sure it's a huge loss for anyone locally. I'd scouted him for a year or so and he's a good player but there are other better options out there. I don't think he was a sure thing for any state team.

Agreed. Seems like an awesome kid and should be good at Providence. Best of luck to him. He'll be playing with Tobias' younger brother.
