2014 G Jalen Lindsey

Idk how high he is on martins board. If he's near the top our chances are very good IMO, our main competition is providence. If he's a guy that Martin is kinda sick of playing games with, we may ultimately just cool on him and look to guys like London and demery.

How much stock you put in the 247 crystal ball presiction? It has us and Candy 50/50.
Jalen Lindsey

*He also holds an offer from Billy D aka Eddie Munster.

I don't put much on the crystal ball predictions. When I do pay attention is when a player announces a date and all of a sudden the picks start coming OR all of a sudden 24 hours before announcement chances all start changing. That usually means the analysts have gotten word from someone, but other than that, I can guess just as well as most of those guys.

Fwiw Makinde London crystal ball is 100% UT :)

Thats whats up!!!

I noticed the Editor that has us picked for Lindsey is from KY. Now call me paranoid but, I can invision sort of a backhanded compliment(without any real info on where Lindsey will commit) from a KY Blue Blood. lol

Paranoid.

Lindsey claims no favorites at this point in time, but did say that Providence is coming at him the hardest and explained why.

“Because they’ve contacted me the most,” Lindsey said, “show the most love, stuff like that.” Providence is also the only school that Lindsey has taken an official visit to. However, he has unofficially visited Louisville, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Memphis.

Lindsey went on to talk about what he is looking for in a college.

“Definitely education, education is a big part of my life,” Lindsey began. “You never know when basketball is not going to work out. And then how the coaches treat the players, like a family-type relationship and coach that’s going to get me prepared for the NBA, to get to my dream.”

The four-star prospect noted that style of play is not a big deal to him when it comes to picking a school.

“Not really,” Lindsey said. “I can adjust to any kind of structure.”

Lindsey also noted that location is “not really” much of a factor.

From Scout. Not really revealing too much. We should be out-recruiting Providence, though.

I've said for awhile this one may very well come down to Providence and UT. The reason Providence is in so deep is because as he said they have been on him the hardest. It became fairly obvious awhile back that Lindsey wanted offers from duke, UNC or UK and that if he got one he was going there. I think that kind of cooled our staff on pressing too hard for him because they envisioned spending all their time on him just to see it mean nothing if one of those schools offered. We are still recruiting him, just not that hard, we may pick it up again though depending on who we land or miss over the next few months.

@EvanDanielsFOX: Jalen Lindsey on his commitment to Providence: "they were showing the most love since day one." Story on the way.

To me it seems that he knew he wasn't getting those top offers and his stock was sliding a little. He needed to grab onto a school he knew would fully be there. Plus he can go into Huntington Prep and just play. I'm not surprised really just kind of early.
