2014 G Jalen Lindsey

"for anyone who has been wondering how the travon landry situation might affect jalen lindsey ? The 4-star class of 2014 guard/wing prospect from nashville who is playing at huntingdon (w.v.) prep next season ? I just spoke with lindsey, and he didn't seem to care very much. He didn't even know landry was a ut commit/signee until he parted ways with the vols.
Tennessee is very much in the mix with lindsey, but so are a bunch of other programs. But he did say he loved cuonzo martin.
But ... Lindsey is still waiting to see whether some blue bloods ?*duke, kentucky, unc, kansas ? Offer him. Those four programs are still on the fence, but he wants those offers.
But ... Tennessee is very much in the mix, and though lindsey won't give anything resembling a top-5 or top-10 or even top-100 at this point, i think it's fair to say the vols are in the picture as much as anyone at the moment. And the landry thing doesn't even seem to be on his radar."

Not sure what to make of that. Sounds like he likes UT. On the other hand, if we were a serious player for him to sign with UT in 2014, you'd think he'd be watching our commits for the 2013 class to see who he'd be playing with.

Most kids pay attention to who's on the team they're watching and who's in their recruiting class. I'd be surprised if day Jordan Cornish could name more than 7 players on our current team, just the nature of it.

His comments are as expected. The key is what his new coach has to say once he becomes an enfluence with him. Surviving that will be key

I feel like if he asks CCM all he has to say is "He only averaged 2 points a game in high school, do you really wanna play with him in college?"

North Carolina just picked up a commit from Theo Pinson, which is good news for us with Lindsey. I think N Carolina will try to close out their class with Vaughn. Do work Cuonzo!

I was hoping Pinson would go to Indiana, it may have helped us with Lyle. This does help with Lindsey though, gotta hope duke or Kentucky don't offer. Honestly don't think he will get a UK offer.

What makes you honk that? lol

Lol it's time for a new iPhone. This one is getting really slow and the typing has become brutal.

Anywho...I don't think he'll get a UK offer, I just don't think he's that good honestly. He's a top 50 player, but not top 20 IMO.

Gotcha. Kinda looks like a tweener right now. Got a decent looking jumper. But if he were to grow a couple more inches. WOW!

He definitely has some leapers.

In-state standouts Jalen Lindsey and Leron Black both had nice days on Thursday in a highly competitive camp. As of now I'd be surprised if Tennessee didn't at least get official visits from both Black and Lindsey. As we've stated before, Lindsey has seemed like a prospect who would jump at an offer from someone like Duke, UNC or Kentucky but as the summer season gets ready to really take off in July, it's looking less and less like he's going to be recruited at that level. Though it's also too early to rule that out entirely.

One 247 guy is predicting him to go to Vandy. So far that's the only crystal ball prediction on Lindsey.

Right now we are recruiting several players similar to Lindsay and all of them are about as good a player as he is. If we get anyone of them will be ok. I don't think he is gonna get the big offer he wants and if he waits to long we may not have room for him either.

If he waits until spring this is a legitimate possibility.

Idk how high he is on martins board. If he's near the top our chances are very good IMO, our main competition is providence. If he's a guy that Martin is kinda sick of playing games with, we may ultimately just cool on him and look to guys like London and demery.

It's too bad he's waiting on the Blues. I can see Lindsey being a big star. Why don't we go ahead and offer Richmond?
