2014 JUCO Center Stephen Hurt

preciate it. Starting to like our chances.... add him, London, and Kasongo/Turman and that is a solid class. IMO

Steal Looney or Black in place of Kasongo/Turman and probably one of the best in TN history.? anybody think of a better basketball class?

The 06 class on paper was amazing, #8 iirc. Those guys didn't exactly pan out, but on paper it was pretty stout.

Well he holds offers from a dozen schools, but yeah IN and AZ are definitely much more prestigious than the list he has for his favorites.

Hurt visited unofficially early in the summer. Based off what I'm hearing lately I'm getting skeptical about him making a return trip in the fall for an official. Not saying he's cut the Vols, just saying that what I'm hearing at the moment does not suggest they are penciled into his top-five. I would also make an educated guess that things got a little more difficult when Forbes left NWF and took a job at Wichita State. I don't know that they can land Hurt, but I would speculate that they are definitely going to be players for one of his five official visits now.

Or if Stokes returns!!!

It's an assumption. I'm not so sure he'll go if he isn't projected first round.
I doubt he would go first round unless someone really NEEDED a strong rebounder, you know what I mean? From him making a big deal about staying last year, I feel as if he will leave regardless of the projected round - even if it's a better decision to stay another year.

That's what I figured. Don't see that first-round projection coming. Although with his flirtation this year, maybe he goes regardless.

I'm hoping he falls late first round to my Thunder. We need a good rebounder and someone who can muscle up and move bodies out of the paint.

You also have to think, who on the next level is stokes going to be able to guard effectively? He's 6'8 and is too slow laterally to guard most 3s and some 4s. He doesn't have insane leaping ability so he's not gonna be a great shot blocker in the league. Are you really gonna spend a 1st round pick on a somewhat undersized (height wise) 4 with a limited NbA post game? I don't think so. The Bobcats might but I wouldn't. I'm not saying stokes is bad or I don't want him to do well. He just needs to seriously develop his post game for the NBA. He struggles finishing bunnies in college, how will he do it in the league? Let me add to my previous post that I'm a huge stokes fan. I'm just not sure he translates well to the NBA
