2014 NFL Draft Thread

I wonder if I can go to the sports center app and see the reaction of each player taken before and after Sam

I guessed it was the same one they showed on TV: him crying (tears of joy) when the Rams called him in the seventh round.

But of course, Sam didn’t want his sexuality to be a distraction. Thats all its been is him kissing a dude!

They are jamming it down people throats!

This is why I didnt want him to be drafted. All they are talking about is Gay Sam this Gay Sam that! What other 7th round pick are they jamming down people throats?

if Sam didnt REALLY want it to be a distraction - we wouldn't even know about it. I will never understand why anyone has to tell us their gay. I dont tell people Im straight

It's liberal ESPN's sexuality crusade! I miss the days when ESPN just showed sports and reported scores and didn't promote certain lifestyles.:rolleyes:

So u like gay sex? :eek:lol: I knew it!

Unlike most people it seems;

1. I'm not at all bothered by it.

and

2. I'm confident enough in my masculinity and sexuality that seeing two gay men kissing doesn't affect me like a large segment of the population.

Perhaps those *****ing the loudest are those that have secret homosexual desires?

Thats the first thing u people scream you a RACIST or Closet Gay!

Is a 8, 10 year old child confident enough in their masculinity and sexuality that seeing two gay men kissing doesn't affect them? I don't know and nether do you or ESPN, but they still have no problem jamming it down family's throats in prime time and all day!

:hi::good!::thumbsup::salute::rock:

I agree with you that ESPN went overboard with focusing on Michael Sam the gay man and not Michael Sam the football player like they should have. However I have no problem showing them kissing because they show straight players kissing their wives/girlfriends all the time. Also an 8 year old won't magically turn gay from simply watching two dudes macking.

And thats all its going to be on any given Sunday! Michael Sam the gay man.

And "if" he is cut ... Michael Sam the gay man got cut!...Not Michael Sam the not good enough player got cut!

If they focused on Michael Sam the football player no one would have heard about the pick but for the 10 seconds it took to announce it. Did u hear about the 230 pick longer than maybe a 15 seconds? No u didnt! They had to make a BIG deal about the GAY part!

If he gets cut or is a benchwarmer ESPN will pound the idea that it was because he is homosexual.

The "gay part" is what's significant. He's the first openly gay player ever to be drafted, and that's a major cultural milestone whether you and your ilk choose to acknowledge it or not. That's why ESPN is focusing on that angle.

No they won't. I don't recall anyone from ESPN trying to pound that idea in when Jason Collins didn't begin the NBA season on a roster after coming out the previous spring. He wasn't on a roster because he wasn't good enough and as I recall everyone acknowledged that.

And the NFL avoided some colossal PR damage-control when the St. Louis Rams ended the suspense and selected Michael Sam

Bell: What took so long for Michael Sam to be drafted?

That says everything you need to know about Sam and the draft!

You see FEAR from the PC Crowd got him drafted!

Did they pick #248 or 250 out of fear of some PR damage? Nope

Have they EVER in the history of the draft picked someone out of fear of PR damage? Nope

Refrain from referring to me as Ilk. I don't appreciate being treated like garbage because I disagree with that lifestyle.

Nobody's treating you like garbage. You already said you didn't care if feeling that way made you a homophobe, so I'm not sure why you've got your panties in a bunch because somebody thinks you are.
