I think the snow flakes are also known as moths. They are distracting on the center field to home shots.

Very poor showing so far for the sec. Minus the 9th inn for candy it would be a disaster so far

It's on 209 DTV here, ESPN2...though the guide is wrong, probably due to the late start.

The nature of baseball and why one can't be as fanatical as other sports....

15 runs one day.
0 runs the next.

99, that was a good example of the better team getting shut down by a dominant performance by a couple of great pitchers. It happens.

No doubt.

It's also a product, again, as to the nature of the game. The "better" team is never all that much better. Especially, when you are talking about teams good enough to make it to Omaha.

As a Phillies fan, I never would have thought the formula for a title would be a lineup that struck out a lot, Cole Hamels, Brett Myers, a 99 year old pitcher named Jamie Moyer, Joe Blanton, and a closer most famous for giving up a mammoth blast to Pujols in the NLCS.

But, it happened.

Gator fans like to poke fun at Mike Martin because Florida State has never won an NCAA title despite the fact they were in the College World Series every year.

You make it enough times and eventually it will happen. But, there is a lot of fairy dust needed to win the thing. It's the nature of the sport.

Florida could lose its next game or come back to still win the whole thing and I wouldn't be surprised either way.

I wonder if that bush league right field chain link "wall" is a big reason FSU seems to continually fail in legit big league parks. Vandy played at FSU in a super a few years ago and it was obvious their hitters were pulling everything into that corner because it's like a softball field at the city park.

I don't know. FSU was in the CWS several times long before the new ball park.

I do believe this. I do think playing in that ballpark is an adjustment for a lot of the teams that make it to Omaha.

It's extremely hard to hit the ball out of the park and extra base hits in general don't come easy.

That takes a big weapon away from a lot of teams. I think it does effect a team mentally. A player knows when he's hit a ball that all season was a home run and in that park does not even sniff the warning track.

I don't think it's the size of the park either. The ball, for whatever reason, just doesn't travel there.

That park really suits small ball and defensive mistakes are magnified because it seems like that's really the way to put up a crooked number on the scoreboard.

Vandy breaks up a no hitter with a Home Run, takes a 1-0 lead and holds on to take command on their side.

Pfeifer from our backyard sends Vanderbilt into the driver's seat. I'm certain it was their financial aid package that made him not want to attend the local university.

Kind of like this year with Serrano as our coach and they've poached the best pitcher from Farragut again.

Serrano = Raleigh.
