Turning the page to 2017, the emphasis is going to be on the defensive line and running back. And really, because of the depth the program has now, they will be able to take a lot more "best available" again this year instead of having to pigeon hole certain spots for a certain kind of player.
That's a part of the growth of the program. Tennessee had the luxury of taking Tyler Byrd late instead taking another defensive lineman or taking Latrell Williams instead of another offensive lineman because of the depth they've created. They took the best players available and not marginal or questionable takes just because they needed bodies at certain positions.
In the past, they didn't always have the luxury of taking the "best available" player, but with some depth they do now.
