big loss. Thought we were the favorite for her, and, frankly, we needed her. But it wasn't exactly a great time to be hosting prospects when two guards have just decided to leave and an assistant coach--who may have been recruiting Nicoletti, not sure--is in the process of leaving.

I guess the bad news keeps coming for the lady vols. First, middleton then Cooper. If that wasn't enough, they lose a top recruiter to SC..Now, a top ranked recruit, who was considered a lock for Tennessee, commits elsewhere. I guess it is safe to assume that another top ranked recruit in Aquira Decosta, could also end up elsewhere. My guess is UCLA.

It makes sense that tennessee is now going after much lower rated players in this 2018 class, as they realize they are about to whiff on the rest of the top ranked players. Wasnt 2018 supposed to be the year tennessee landed several of the top ten recruits, especially the elite guards. According to hoopgurlz, they still havent signed a top 10 recruit yet. After the 2015 16 recruiting debacle, wasnt it extremely important to follow up 2017 with another steller recruting haul?

I also find it comically ironic that holly refused to let kaela davis come and play here, so she promptly goes to SC, accepted with open arms, and is intregal in them winning their first NC.

If all this wasnt concerning enough, uconn is almost a certain lock to grab yet another top ranked recruit, their 3rd in the last 4 recruiting classes..

SC is sitting themselves up nicely for 2018, with either them or uconn with the top class. Probably 3 top 10 recruits in addition to Cooper. Law, who will be their lead recruiting coordinator is a huge get. Tennessee better keep up or SC will continue to top the SEC for a long time. Thank goodness for 2017 recruiting class

All of those ranked Tennessee girls that we did not want because we are after more elite and better fit for our program !!!! They don't look so bad now ? JMHO

I am sure Williams will come now that Nicoletti has committed to F. State ?

Williams is going to uconn lol, but tennessee can have some solace knowing they at least got the center spot in her top five school pic list she posted on twitter lol

And Raoul's twitter account references the KNS article by Dan Fleser.

I think that it might be noted that Law's decision to go to South Carolina had nothing to do with Nicoletti's decision. Nor was she ever a "lock" for Tennessee, as another poster suggested. Which, in my opinion, is just another attempt to get a dig in about the Head Coach and the staff at Tennessee. Personally, I don't consider any recruit a lock until the paperwork is signed and delivered!

Looking at her pictures with Jasmine... she did not look like she wanted to be a lady vol ??? JMO

Who said we don't want too many guards ???
Florida State has five and signed two more for 2018!!!

We have 2 Freshmen that have not played a second in college and MeMe??? Just saying !

We'll be alright! We were once the standard and I want us to get back to that and that means we get players that want to be Lady Vols! You don't see Geno begging for recruits, he makes the offer, if they accept they accept if they do not he moves on and that's how we were under Pat and I would like us to remain that way! Yes things like a little troublesome but we must see how things play out. A return to the final four/surprise national championship (based on what we have that's not far fetched) and the recruits/transfers will come running.

I thought the same thing when I saw the pictures and started preparing for the announcement that she will end up Florida State!


There are still some quality guards in 2018. I hope Collins is in Scott-Grayson's ear about coming to UT as her recruitment has been very quiet

I was wrong about the total guards for them for 2017!!!! I forgot the two Freshmen coming in for a total of SEVEN ! My mistake 😁

And now Nicoletti and one more guard for 2018....with one guard a graduate transfer... leaves EIGHT for 2018

to recruit is to become a relevant national power again. Until we do that, recruiting is going to be a struggle. That Nicoletti picked FSU over us is an example of how tough it has got--and we lose good/top prospects to lesser programs all the time because we're not that good anymore. It all starts at the top.

One class want get us back maybe we'll be better next season but we need a huge class for 2018 as well. Got off to a great start with two commits then we start hitting rock bottom. I hope Holly is offering a scholarship to Gabby Crawford. She is a talented player and is 6'3" the type of player who could help us.
Right now I think her favorite may be Miss St.
We need three more players in this class with the one defection and four players graduating. We should never fall under 12 on the roster and we have the last couple years.

They had six going into the NCAA'S... And did better than UT! We had four going into NCAA'S and one graduated... and two transferred... so we have one left wo did not start and two freshman coming!

Your guess is as good as mine???

Last I heard about her was she has a list of 14 teams which did include Tennessee but nothing since. I would think she would narrow that list soon I thought some of the teams on her list would be gone before us. I know UConn is on there and SC and you would think us and those two would at least make her top five.
