Yup. I was actually just thinking that when you posted the offer. I don't think they would be this aggressive if they were looking to take 2 guys in that spot. Now maybe they end up taking 2 SF before it's over with but I think Gaines days as a vol commit are numbered.

Especially considering that Pember is a guy they probably feel they can land if they want him, and he’s a 3/4, just a thought.

Any chance they are giving this kid some rub to get him exposure? I know you said it’s commitable. I just have no idea how good he is. Talked to someone who has seen him and was a little surprised by the offer.

I don’t think so, I believe they view him as one of those 4-5 year players that a lot of good programs get. They are looking to stash him in prep school for a year and bring him in for 2020, he’s got a host of MM offers and HM sniffing around, if you can stash someone like that for a year that’s not a bad get at all.

I've heard that Georgia and Vandy are interested, as well as Michigan. I'm no college scout, nor do i pretend to be one like some of you jacklegs on here :), but I'm going to see his AAU team compete this weekend in Charlotte. It'll be interesting to see how he stacks up to some high level competition.

I’m pretty sure that Mann is still above Lewis on our board. At this point he is a realistic possibility and the other is not. And my point was that Mann was at the top of the board which he clearly is. I don’t pretend to know which they like better if they have their pick. Reality is they don’t but they definitely have a shot with Mann. And it’s clear that they’ve made Mann a priority.

You questioned me when I said Lewis was slated to make a big jump, and that’s when you then pointed out the Kansas offer for Mann and asked me if I thought Lewis was really gonna jump 80+ spots. All I was saying.

Thought we had 4 spots lol but I do have a feeling someone will transfer after this coming season so maybe we will have 4. Don’t think Kent will ever see many meaningful minutes here. Which sucks cause I do like what he brings to the table.
