Was she recruited at a pretty high level? Both Darby and Salary were recruited by multiple D1 teams I haven’t heard much of her so I am just curious.

Chloe’s mother died on her 16th birthday. Not sure where her dad is, but her stepdad adopted her after her mom died. She may have wanted to stay close to home

Gotcha! A great reason to stay home for school. Sorry to hear she lost her mom (especially on her bday) but glad she could stay close enough to be with family and someone adopted her. That in itself makes me a fan of hers and wish her the best!

Also Bethel is an exceptional private Christian school. I wish I had known about it years ago.

Nice! My question was in regards to the poster commenting that she was better than Darby and Salary and I know they were both recruited by multiple power D1 power 5 schools. Wasn’t doubting the young ladies ability just was curious why TN wasn’t in on her if she was good. Hate to see the instate talent get away from TN😩

I think we got exactly the two players we needed for next season. I like Darby a lot she may not stand out to some, but in the end she is a 2000 point scorer in high school and not from volume shooting her percentage was 52 percent from the field. She also averages almost 10 rebounds per game and three or four steals per game. When you look at her stats versus those of Moore they are virtually even excepting Moore has more assist because she is the point guard some of the time. Salary is a do everything on her team has to pitch in 40 percent of the total team scoring. She does it in an efficient way can drive the ball and has an exceptional mid-range jumper. I think both players will get minutes as freshmen and will be productive when they do.

Have you personally seen all 3 players play and not just highlights? Chloe based on what I’ve seen is better. Just my opinion. I was just wondering why we didn’t recruit her. Just wish they’d look deeper in the south. Great players have been missed out on because of it. And there are a few now that are sophomores and juniors that will be awesome players. They should’ve went harder after now U of Memphis freshman guard out of Haywood County because she is the real deal. You can’t always go off who they are being recruited by. Some kids tend to be over recruited and never show their potential based on the hype.

Never said Salary and Darby wasn’t worthy recruits. But based on what I’ve seen and heard Chloe is a really good overall player that can makes things happen. Just wished UT would’ve taken a closer look 🤷🏾‍♂️

This young lady is very good as well from my hometown. A big shot maker and and create her own shot.

Let`s all remember this is high school, It will not be easy for Darby or Salary to make an impact.

Did she play AAU ball or go to any camps because if your from Greenfield or other small cities and don't get exposure you get lost from the big schools and also the rating services. I tried to look her up on the rating services and finally found her rated a three star by Prospect Nation and not even a top 500 player. We both know she is far better than that. I think she could have been a top 100 player if she had gotten the exposure that she needed. She is certainly as good or better than either Salary or Darby both of them got out to camps and AAU and Darby was late doing that was just last summer. She made such a huge impression with her play last summer that she moved up the rankings from a three star unknown to number 144. Moore is outstanding could've been a division one player but the reasons could be she had no interest or as I have stated above. Tennessee would have never noticed Darby if it hadn't been for her play last summer and doubt she would've gotten a scholarship if others had decided to sign that went other places. Still I think Tennessee may have found a diamond in the rough and she is certainly a player with a skill three point shooting that they can use.

Tess may be a steal for TN... in looking at some of her Hudl videos she is very unselfish.

I do like an unselfish player — as long as she is not TOO unselfish. I’ve got my fingers crossed that Tess will comes in with the guts to put herself out there in her willingness to be the type of long-range bomber that could really help her team. In fact, Kellie needs ALL of her players to have the guts to put in the amount of hard work it takes to make a real difference in a program’s success.

For someone who only looks in on who's who in recruiting (My focus is on game, offensive flow and skill development) it would be nice if someone would give a short paragraph on who's highest on the want-list, who's interested, the latest interests and such...anyone?

Not to rain on a parade, but I think the expectations here for Tess are completely unrealistic. I doubt she'll see the court much next season, and depending on who signs in 2021, she might not be much more than a depth recruit.

What makes you say that? I’m just curious

Now you've done it. Why do you hate Tess and her entire family?

She's a 3-star player that isn't highly regarded by the ranking systems. When was the last time a player like that made an impact at Tennessee...especially with Massengill, Horston, Davis, Green, Burrell and possibly Jessie and Salary ahead of her on the depth chart.

Nothing against her...just seems the expectations may be out of line with her credentials.
