So using the week 1 roster, minus the specialists and adding the guys who weren’t on the week one roster either because of injury or suspension:
3-5*
16-4*
22-3*
3-2*
6-unranked

So, 38% of the week one roster were either 4 or 5 star recruits.

Thanks! It’s no conclusive point, but the great PRO talent gatherers have a methodology of scouting players that look and play at their desired preference. There’s a lot more vetting at the college level and the best rise to the top more obviously, but those with an eye are more apt to identify them in high school and project.
