2020 Presidential Race

Your agenda is clear because you don't hold Donald Trump to the same standard that you do Joe Biden. Trump routinely makes a fool of himself on Twitter and in press briefings, and all you do is accuse people of having "TDS" when they point his many mistakes out. Such as our airports during the Revolutionary War... are you kidding me?
I hold Trump's public statements/press conferences in pretty low regard. I'm one of those who has posted that I wish he would just STFU. Check my recent posting history or even earlier. Trump's issues are ego driven, he thinks too much about himself and his abilities, Biden's issues appear to be caused by the onset of senility and he thinks too much of his abilities now as compared to 20, er, 12 years ago. I guess it's more of a case of pick your poison.

But really the person doesn't matter all that much, it's the policies they bring with them once elected, that really matter. That's really where our differences are.

This year's presidential election isn't about Joe Biden. Yes, Joe Biden's name will be on the ballot, but this election is a referendum on the presidency of Donald Trump and specifically, Donald Trump's leadership during a time of crisis.

... and Joe Biden is not a weaker candidate than John Kerry was in 2004. No way.

John Kerry can have a coherent conversation with someone unlike Joe.

I can get on board with most of this... but I would point out that Donald Trump has allowed his ego to drive some of his policies and his lack of morals have guided his judgment along the way. His withholding aid to the Ukraine as leverage against their president's willingness to perform a campaign favor for him, is one example. Trump saw nothing wrong with this.

Biden has his issues in those regards as well, don't fool yourself.

Like I said, it isn't about the candidate, they both have their issues, it's about who and what they bring with them once elected.

... and how well they manage a crisis (if they have had to deal with one). I thought Bill Clinton was an effective president, but I would be the first to admit that just about anyone could have looked good as president from January of 1993 until January of 2001. The economy was reaping the benefits of a massive tech bubble and we were in a time of relative peace. Trump is being tested right now, and showing signs of being in over his head.

Maybe in over his head, probably. So would every other person elected President who listened to their health experts. Biden does not strike me as one who would have done a better job, nor Hillary, nor any US politician that I can think of. Only a fool/someone with an agenda, would blame one person for whatever has happened so far.

Trump has managed this crisis as well as anyone else would have. I dare say if Hillary were in office we would be in much worse shape economically and I doubt she would have had any reservations about enacting nationwide orders.

I think that is the Republican in you talking. We all want to believe in our vote. I get it.

That offers some highly unlikely hypothetical scenarios to nominate either Bernie or Cuomo ... from a "Catholic perspective". Kind of a weird read.

...and by the way, they seem to interpret the decision to cancel the New York primary as being a politically motivated maneuver. The logic behind not holding a primary vote in New York is very understandable from the standpoint of doing what is best for public health right now. Do we have to be cynical about everything?

He didn't throw the establishment, 98% of the people have never heard of him and that won't change. I promise you one thing, I have nothing to fear with this guy. Only thing he supports is "hey everyone look at me"

There are only 2 people in this country that have a chance to be the next President, Amash damn sure isn't one of them. Thankfully.
He left the Rs behind and hasnt joined the Ds. What establishment does he represent?

What's the difference in voting or a full parking lot at Home Depot, Lowes, or Kroger ??

Yeah, OK.

$2T, bro. $2T.

Forget about Rand Paul or some limited-government minded guy. If Hillary were in office, R's would have done their ****ing job and opposed the $2T stimulus.

Huff we are in agreement on the "stimulus". I was only referring to the handling of the actual virus spread.

Go find someone else to start a useless argument with.
