In what regard PJ? Don't we already do that with school children and public schools? Was listening to a discussion about tracking people after this virus (S Korea is an example) and it should be one of the most important issues imo. Which candidate is most likely to veto a bill calling for documentation of vaccination or something similar?
Want to purchase a firearm? Papers. Want to buy alcohol? Papers. Want to enter the country? Papers. Want credit? Papers. Want to rent? Papers. Want a library card? Papers. Want to work? Papers. Want an education? Papers. All citizens. Children who have stupid parents can still opt out currently
Want to fly? Papers please (or scan your chip). Want to vote? Papers
The rabbit hole of what they will do once given the chance is scary
See what is going on South Korea with their contact tracing. Comparing it to a library card is ridiculous since this isn't a one time event. It's literally every movement and contact you makeWant to purchase a firearm? Papers. Want to buy alcohol? Papers. Want to enter the country? Papers. Want credit? Papers. Want to rent? Papers. Want a library card? Papers. Want to work? Papers. Want an education? Papers.
We have been in that rabbit hole for a long time.
Can't have easy voting. Those Red Hats didn't get the memo about how mail in ballots will bring about full blown communism.
OK, I read an ABC article on this:See what is going on South Korea with their contact tracing. Comparing it to a library card is ridiculous since this isn't a one time event. It's literally every movement and contact you make
Actually those measures have been discussed in potus press conf this month and no one has spoken out yet.OK, I read an ABC article on this:
Trust, testing and tracing: How South Korea succeeded where the US stumbled in coronavirus response
I don't think the cultural differences, including trust in the government, would be conducive for such measures in the US. Perhaps if they really, really scare us good, better than they have already? How do you get compliance without crossing into dangerous territory with regards to liberty/rights?
Is it compliance we crave or security/safety? No one has spoken out yet because it hasn't been implemented? People aren't paying attention? A lot of things get proposed but nothing happens until something happens, I suppose.Actually those measures have been discussed in potus press conf this month and no one has spoken out yet.
Why do we crave compliance?
Yup. That he has stayed consistent to his stances is the number two reason I like him. The number one is that he actually represents a more true conservative than being a Republican. Thing three would be leaving the Republican party.I did some reading on Louder's boy Amash last night, and I have to say he has been pretty consistent/principled in his voting pattern over the years. I don't agree with him on some key things, but he's stuck to his guns over the years and that's commendable.
