2020 Presidential Race

That's not what I'm claiming at all; but it's true to a degree.
I'm claiming that a popular fallback defensive position for Trumpers is the old "everybody does it, and they do it equally" non-sense.

Not true .. I used this for defending stupid sh!t politicians did and said when I was all snug and warm in the Democratic Party ideology.

It was a poor defense then and an even worse defense now, seeing as how the difference are greater now than ever before.

It's a horrible arguement that only exist in a two party system that promotes an us vs them mentality instead of finding real candidates with real ideas that help unite the country instead of divide it.
It existed in your one party 2016 republican primary.
Everyone claims to be for real ideas that help unite the country instead of divide it, yet Trump still has supporters.

I fall under tear the entire 2 party system down group.

I voted for Trump as a wake up call to Republicans....this is what way too many of you dems miss.

We are sick of our own party and yours.

We won't both gone.

Trump was picked because we are sick of the crap choices we keep getting.

I do believe there are silent Trump supporters who won't admit to voting for the bum. But these are much wider leads than Hillary had, so even if a 2-3% election day swing occurs (from what the polls are predicting) Joe would still win most of the battleground states.
The democratic unity seems to be the most encouraging thing. Bernie supporters seem less likely to throw a tantrum on Election Day than they did in 2016.

So you voted for the crappiest of the crap choices?
Explain to me the logic utilized.

So the GOP voters were sick of crap choices and elected the biggest turd candidate ever. That's the dumbest excuse possible. And you wonder why people make fun of Trump supporters.

It's like someone saying "I'm tired of choosing between steak and chicken and to prove it I'm going to eat rat."

I sadly viewed him as the best option from both parties.

This is my biggest gripe with a two party system.

Ok small edit here for clarity....Cruz was dead in the water but he was my choice. I say best option of the candidates with an actual shot to win like Jeb or Rubio. Cruz wasn't gaining enough traction and it was clear. I would take cruz over trump any day of the week.

But do you trust the numbers? This is not meant to start an argument, it just looks awfully similar to last time and I'm trying to figure out whether Trump is done or if it's deja vu.
Imo the margin isn't as wide as these polls are suggesting. However I do still lean to a Dem win for now.

The other options outside of Cruz were way worse. I voted for Cruz in the primary but once he was out I was for Trump.

Jeb sucks.

I still want Cruz as president but it's never happening.

42 of my Jewish cousins who have never voted for a Republican before are voting Trump. They are on my ass to be the 43.
I will continue my position as a write in protest as I’ve done since they gave us GW vs Al Gore.

But let that sink in. 42 mostly NY Jews voting Trump. This could be a landslide Trump victory with the leftist once again going “why were the poles so wrong ?”

It’s going to be interesting for sure.
