Covington teen Nick Sandmann, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem to speak at RNC
The Republican National Convention speaker roster is taking shape, with multiple high-profile appearances being announced in the week leading up to the event.
Former Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann, who recently
settled a lawsuit with CNN and the Washington Post for defamation, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and
the armed St. Louis couple who stood outside their property to protect it as protesters and rioters marched nearby are among the speakers at next week’s Republican National Convention, according to a report.
Sandmann’s 2019 confrontation with a Native American activist during a March for Life rally in Washington went viral and initially appeared to show him smirking at the man until another video surfaced offering a fuller account of the incident, showing him and other students being harassed by a nearby group of Black Hebrew Israelites, and then taunted by the Native activist.
The defamation suits against CNN and the Washington Post were settled for an undisclosed amount.
