Hard to tell how much the fear peddling would be under a dem president the press didn't hate as much. Less fear would equal less lockdowns and restrictions. It's hard to argue that at least some, if not most, of the fear around COVID has been manufactured.

I think it would have been the same or worse. The modern left is not concerned at all with individual liberties (right usually knows to give lip service to it). Their nom for potus had said he would still look to institute lockdowns next year to "get it under control". A free people don't move toward govt on their own

It does.

rjd has a point that the fear peddling by the media would have been much less with a dem POTUS but I think the executive power grabs would have been 10x worse. I think we would have seen a Dem potus attempt national level actions like lock downs or quarantines.
