2020 Presidential Race

Probably the worst news for Trump is way fewer undecided voters.
More then I would have guessed

According to Jackson at Ipsos, about 10 percent of voters probably haven't made up their minds yet between Trump or Biden. Using the 211 million Americans registered to vote in 2018 as a guide, that would suggest there are some 21 million voters who are still open to persuasion. If the number is more in line with the 138 million who cast ballots in the 2016 presidential election, the undecided total would be closer to 14 million.

Thats why I think he acted like a buffoon in the debate. He can't win anyone new over. But his base likes him not following the rules, being a bull in a China shop, and being a bully. So he played the part.
Some what disagree. If you haven’t written off Trump yet then you aren’t going to. And the enthusiasm on the left isn’t about Biden. It’s about getting rid of Trumps ass. I suspect “undecideds” break hard for trump.

Is there any reason you suspect that? I'm not sure there are that many undecideds at this point. I believe also that Hillary was the driving point in '16 why so many undecideds broke for Trump.

Just my estimation. Again I don’t see a ton of voter enthusiasm for Biden. This election is Trump vs Anybody but Trump. If you haven’t written Trump off yet I don’t see them breaking for Biden

Yeah I can’t believe with four years to plan for this that they couldn’t find a candidate that people want to vote for

How many time do we have to explain? It's like a football game - doesn't matter how many yards each team may accumulate, the winner is still the one with the highest point total. If you want to win, concentrate on how you get the greatest number of EC votes; it shouldn't keep coming down to a surprise for your team how the counting is done. BTW it's done the way it is to prevent a handful of states from running the country - the surest way to civil war because a lot of us absolutely disagree with the stupidity emanating from places like CA.

You got me confused with somebody else. I know exactly how the electoral college works. And unrelated to my post to which you replied I also know about the abuse that is possible. Att be very least the rules of the electoral college need to be tightened or preferably eliminated

Whitmer says Michigan won't rush to get results on Election Day, calls it an ‘artificial deadline’

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Sunday said her state will not rush to ensure all the results of the 2020 presidential race are counted on Election Day, Nov. 3 -- a date she appeared to imply was artificially set.

Asked by host Margaret Brennan how long it will take Michigan to declare the winner of the race, Whitmer would not give a definitive timeline.

Biden considering controversial NY Governor Cuomo as AG: report

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is being mulled as an attorney general within a potential Joe Biden administration, according to a Sunday report.

Democratic donors within Cuomo's orbit have reportedly told the outlet that Cuomo is being pushed for the attorney general job and that Biden is considering him for the role based on their decades-long friendship.

An attorney general within a Biden administration would be under political pressure to go after former Trump administration officials and manage nationwide unrest over police violence, among other pressing issues.

Well she’s correct it is an artificial deadline as outlined by the constitution

Miami Herald defends Kamala Harris from comparison to Clinton, claims she's been labeled the 'Black Hilary'

'Ohio Pastor Darrell C. Scott said Harris was 'Hillary Clinton in black face.' #BlackHillary began to trend on Twitter,' the article read

The Miami Herald published an article on Sunday defending Democratic vice presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., from comparisons to Hillary Clinton, after the hashtag #BlackHillary began trending on social media.

The story cited tweets from former TV anchor Megyn Kelly and actor James Woods which criticized Harris for making faces during the debate against Vice President Mike Pence, with Woods referring to her as a "Valley Girl," who rolled "her eyes like a petulant brat."

The article then cited Ohio Pastor Darrell C. Scott and comments he made about Harris while speaking with Fox News' Laura Ingraham. He referred to the California Democrat as, “Hillary Clinton in blackface," and the #BlackHillary hashtag began to spread.

The Herald did, however, also point to how unpopular Harris is with voters -- a trait she seems to share with Clinton, who had a high unfavorability rating in 2016.

Kamala Harris Refused Death Penalty for Illegal Alien MS-13 Gang Member Who Murdered Bologna Family

Edwin-RamosBolognas-640x480.jpg

As San Francisco District Attorney, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) refused to seek the death penalty in one of the city’s most high-profile murder cases, where an illegal alien MS-13 gang member killed a father and two of his sons.

On June 22, 2008, 48-year-old Anthony Bologna and his three sons — 20-year-old Michael, 18-year-old Andrew, and 16-year-old Matthew — were driving home from a family barbeque in San Francisco, California, when illegal alien MS-13 gang member Edwin Ramos, driving alongside them, randomly opened fire.

Ramos killed Anthony, Michael, and Matthew in the shooting. Prosecutors said Ramos shot the Bolognas because he misidentified them as rival gang members who were involved in a gang murder that day.

The murder case rose to prominence as Harris, who is now Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden’s running mate, was San Francisco District Attorney. Harris later became California Attorney General.

Ramos, it was soon revealed, had been arrested and convicted on a number of previous violent crimes, but San Francisco’s sanctuary city policy shielded him from ever being turned over to federal immigration officials.

Sorry bout that. I completely misunderstood what you said - reading VN comments while napping doesn't work well - antihistamine so I could breathe really did me in today.

I believe this is a very fair assessment.

Terrible crime but I’ll bet growing up with your last name being Bologna in the US was tough. Lol

BLEXIT founder Candace Owens organizes law and order WH event, says 'Minorities do not belong to the Left'
:sigh:

Words and phrases mean things. I think authoritarians love the term "law and order". These are the type of people that will enforce any law that is scribbled in a law book and enforce it aggressively. The "order" is established usually behind the barrel of a gun and maintains order even at the expense of rights and liberties.

We don't have enough "peace and justice". I think many people are starving for justice. We have plenty of people that use the law in their favor to commit atrocities, but yet they run free. Just because something is illegal, that doesn't mean that it is wrong. Likewise, just because something is legal, that doesn't make it right. Peace is something that has to be agreed upon by the two opposing factions. Both sides will ultimately have to give up a little in order to achieve that peace. Order, on the other hand is a one way street. The side that has the power behind it can force the other side to comply or get crushed.

Trying to achieve "peace and justice" is a lot harder.

Too many laws on the books simply insures that people will start ignoring them - first the dumb ones and then the slide begins. Wisdom would see to it that only necessary laws are written, but then what would the new legislators do when the bases are pretty well covered. It puts the enforcement people in a tough spot because they know as well as anybody else that a lot of things are BS.

You make some excellent points. People do long for peace and justice. Unfortunately peace in America will never happen if the media doesn't stick to just reporting facts instead of pushing their agenda.
